Lucy, I was just wondering if you have any advice for me. I am 30 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I want to at least attempt to have her naturally. Is there anything you could tell me about natural birth that could get me a little more prepared for it so that I don't go into not knowing much and then just give up because I will think I can't do it? anythings help.
@virginiamariealice My mums a Doula, their job is to give information and support during pregnancy, at the birth and i think afterwards. I'm not sure if there would be any wherever you live though but it's definetly something worth looking into :)
@xxxjoelpolexxx ur 3 children r beautiful I hope to see them in more videos soon! Hope they have a fun life (well of course with u as there mom) I'll be watching :)
Congratulations you did wonderful . Lol my second labour and delivery was so easy and pain free labour and delivery took 2 hours start to finish I thought my 3rd would follow suit lol I was so wrong must be cause he was male I had so Many interventions and complications for my liking but I agree this time round the after pains after and during nursing were more painful then labour itself
Congratulations to all of you. :) Your birth seems like it super relaxed, and fun (well as fun as contractions can be haha). It's really made me seriously consider midwives when I reach the baby-having point in my life. :)
Congrats lucy. I gave birth April 25th but was in labor(latent phase) for three days before I couldn't handle it anymore. Fourth day I told my husband that I give up and I need pain meds. We went to the hospital and in 12 hrs I had my son. VBAC rules! It is very much possible I dunno how u dealt w it until giving birth.
awww love how there is video on all of this! I really want a home birth next time & this gives me an insight look at how it can be. Can't wait for the next video!
@TheOrtonsLife :) It's coming shortly...the next phase of labor has like seriously 72 hrs w/ of footage. So I'm not sure how it will be uploaded yet, probably bits in pieces in just clips
@catftiss1 There shouldn't be any copyright....there isn't music. If your talking about my birth photographers vid she uploaded a 2nd w/ no music that has no copyright.
I would just like to know how you were able to do a belly cast at 6 CM?!?! LOL, Normally when I am at a 6 I'm wanting to crawl out of my skin I am in so much pain! I watched your labor story and cried throughout. Positively beautiful.
@Twimomof3 haha it was interesting...having a contraction while doing it felt so weird, then at the end when I had a really strong contraction it just made the cast fall off as my belly took a whole other shape that didn't holod the cast up ha
@ilovehandbags06 AGREED!!!!!!!!!! It was one of his annoying habits that I can't stand, but he has horrible allergies so it's not his fault, but I agree, it's very gross!
you are so calm and cool during labor! with my first child I was in so much pain I couldnt sit still.. let alone have conversatiosns with anyone! Im pregnant with my second baby and due in september and really want to to try going all natural with him as I had an epidural with my son, Im just nervous that I wont be able to handle the pain ! you make it look so easy!
@xxxjoelpolexxx Haha - i'll try but I don't have a great attention span! I'm going to try aromatherapy oils I think suitable for labour and such. My Midwife recommended using water. Didn't think i'd be able to as my son was an emergency c/s and the complications i've had with this pregnancy but apparently 'cos it was 8 years ago since Jack arrived, i'll be ok. I'll try anything!
Just wached your labor video BEAUTIFUL!!! Do you think Peysons birth was easier then Kacens? I remember u saying how hard and painful Kacens birth was.
This is beautiful Lucy having your baby at home you seem so relax and happy. When i have my second baby i want a home birth i wanted it with my son so with my second im gonna have it for sure. Congratulations again to you and your beautiful family:)
@nextinlineforsuicide You don't typically have interventions when you have a home birth. This was always an option I had to choose but I didn't want it. We were both healthy & handling labor well (minus the emotional stage, lol) so I just let things be thinking surely it wouldn't be more than a day or two....but I was wrong! ha
I can imagine that being frustrating...getting that far and then just stopping right when you should be hitting that "transition" period.
I have a question though, what did it feel like to walk around at 7 cm dilated for that long? I mean did you feel like she was just gonna fall out or could you not really tell? I would have been terrified to go out in public for fear that my water would break in the middle of a store or something, lol.
@RaxterRiley The amount of pressure as my bag of water was just right there & have her SOOOOOOOOO low in my pelvis, and the CONSTANT huge amounts of mucus plug coming out for days....was NOT at ALL pleasant! It felt like any second my bag of water was going to break. With every sneeze & cough I thought surely this will be it.
@RaxterRiley PS U want to talk about a TRUE waddle walk...boy oh boy did I have that down! Standing up from laying down position was the worse. It felt like a bowling ball slammed into my crotch.
I couldn't really hear what that bracelet was for when you were telling your daughter, can you fill me in? What is it called? Thanks and congratulations on your little girl! <3
Wow, I just saw the pictures and video from your birth photographer and it's BEAUTIFUL. I love how the black and white just really made everything seem so serene and beautiful and peaceful!!! :)
Jace is so sweet "I have a wil bit left" my lil neice would have jumped on the chance for more juice. So cute. Congrats on Peyson you looked so calm during labor.

@KAvilez90 I have to have distractions to keep my mind of the pain....if I focus my attention elsewhere it's easier. Try that ;)
