is this better than the Harmony 525? I have that and it seems to have all the same functions (just without the fancy screen parts) but the buttons are stiff and uncomfortable on the 525. Is it worth a hundred bucks more for the Harmony One?

The Harmony One is compatible with the Bluetooth PS3 with a $45 adapter with converts IR commands to Blue-tooth. I have one and it works flawlessly. NO TIME delay whatsoever. Also, you can get this remote from eBay sellers for around $150. Totally worth in in my opinion.

Great remote. If you can follow simple instructions and use a mouse you will have no problem setting up this remote. If you have problems figuring out how to use simple tools like touch tone phones and think technology is the devil than you should probably stick with your mountain of remote controls you keep losing in your couch.

It is true that it takes some time to setup but as long as you follow the instructions it really is VERY simple.

seems like a lot of people dont' like this remote but i love mine yes it takes a bit of setting up but once you have done it it's great i work 7 devices with mine including lights , sky , bd player and pch a110 I think some peple need more patience

i'm sure i will get flamed by someone saying "you're dumb, i set mine up easily you must know nothing" to those that say that i say 'bollocks, you are talking utter rubbish' you can set up a ps3 and a tv ok'ish but try to add more advanced features it will do your head in.

let me say this - i am a geek. always have been. i love my gadgets. i'm apt at using them.

this remote nearly ended up through the window. it is NOT user friendly unless you are adding one controller. try adding another and it goes tits up.

i spoke to a friend at work about me having a logitech and he also had one - in the drawer, he gave up.

The software is shite. having to create an account is bizarre to say the least. the software to download is 65 meg and it can all reside pc side but oh no

i have been undecided for a while on what kind of remote i wanted to buy and finally went with the harmony one from amazon. i got it yesterday and set it up in about an hour including adding icons for my favorite hd channels.

currently running 7 components including my ceiling fan/lights. the software is very easy to understand. you are just dumb and do not understand how your "home theatre" is hooked up. idiot

and by the way, setting up an account takes roughly about 2 minutes, if that. it's just to save all the information that you made to the remote, incase you need to come back to tweek certain things or add other components.

i'm sorry, but your not a "technology geek" if you have trouble setting up this remote.

learn how your shit is hooked up and follow the software step by step, it was so easy..

The commercials lie lie lie!! It is not easy to set up like they say it is. I only needed to set up 2 things, A TV and DVD with surround sound. I followed the instructions to the letter and It would not turn on the DVD. It is a piece of junk and $249.00 wasted and hours of frustration. Don't believe the sales pitches. Junk! Junk! Junk!

If you take your time and have any idea what you are doing with electronics it is real easy to set mine up. Had mine done and fine tuned in less the 30 mins.

You just made my point. It is NOT easy for anyone to set up like they claim, unless you are a electronics geek or rocket scientist. I had to call out the geek squad from bestbuy and pay them to set mine up after days of frustration and even they were having trouble and it took them 55 minutes to get it to work properly. It took longer with the harmony one remote then it did when they set up my new system.

if your computer already has a remote (and that remote has a clear black front) or it is a Mac or has IR, it will work.

Good points on the ergonomics and how two hands may be needed to access certain functions/keys. Aesthetically, it looks sleek on and off the charger base. The screen will get smudged, but what touch screen doesn't get smudged. It has a cell phone type flat battery in the remote that's charged by the base you plug and leave in an AC outlet. Yes, it will need tweaking to get it working just right. I don't think that's a con, because there are various ways people set up their equipment.
