When sheldon saw that the rocket fuel was going to explode, he turns it upside down as a sign of distress. I think the flag rule was mentioned earlier in this episode, but I'm not sure. (Can anyone confirm?)

Sheldon is the best television character in YEARS. I love that he is so different and that he can be so annoying to the others-- but when it really counts, he doesn't rub his superior intelligence in their faces. I always wondered what it was that made Leonard stick with Sheldon for so long since he's always so annoyed with him, but now it's quite obvious how good of a person Sheldon really is.

it bothers me a little that when the others are good at something, sheldon always has to admit it, because it's the "social convention" that supposedly everyone has to follow.

but when sheldon does something nice (in this case EXTREMELY nice) the others just ignore it or make fun of it, just like penny does here.
