It was dangerous for you to follow the cops in the event there was shooting. However, you may have prevented the cops from shooting and killing the young man because you had a camera on them. Cops do "drops" (plant a gun)and then make claims that a shooting is justified after killing usually an African American man(someone I know whose Uncle was a CPD cop told him about "drops)".
