You're right. They haven't had an original member in over 20 years. They recently lost a lawsuit over the name, so they now bill themselves as "The Fabulous Duprees."

Just so long as there are 3 flats in the key signature for this song, that's all the really matters It's "9 o'clock" on the circle of fifths-- Eb Major heaven (even if it does modulate away up more toward 12 O'clock at the end. Had I written the song, I'd have moved counter clockwise to Ab. But sigh, I didn't)
One thing you need to understand........SURE!.........these guys arent the originals......BUT!.......I've heard these guys with two different lead singers and with one extra backup guy........and they do a terrific job on the Duprees music.
ok so these are not the "ORIGINALS", if the original guys were either still alive or "interested" they would be performing... I do believe that "most" of the Original Platters, same thing are either not alive nor still in the group, however, the Platters STILL performing???? What is the difference. I loved the original Duprees too, however for whatever reasons, the originals still not around. SO, what does it hurt to bring "their sound" back? Don't like it, don't go see them, "change channel"...
@Jas8631 yes sounds GOOD to me :D and SO NICE that singers/groups KEEP the music from our pasts "alive and well" if they can... whether it is from 20s, 40s, 50s/Doo Wop, 60s, 70s my ERA, I love the 80s, or 90s, and todays music will be history in time as well, so nice folks do that to keep the "sound" and the "heritage" of it alive... LOVE IT!
Who are these phonies???? They are not THE Duprees!!. Joey Vann, who was the lead singer of the Duprees died at the age of 41, in 1984. Joe Santollo, his first tenor, died in 1981, at the age of 38. Etc. Etc. This is a BOGUS group!!!
Although the last original touring member (Mike Arnone?) died of cancer, these guys continue the singing tradition of the Duprees and they are great!!! Also, the lead singer is sooo cool. LOL

oh man SHUT UP!!! THEY ARE FANTASTIC so just enjoy the music and get over it!!! Even the Stones & the Who & Journey & Van Halen AREN'T ALL THE ORIGINALS.....but they still call themselves the Stones, the Who, ...........

I have nothing against these guys, they sing well and Tommy has charming stage presence, but they can't call themselves the Duprees because they don't own the name. I hate to be technical about it, but read 'the truth in music bill' and maybe it will become clear why we should all be supporting that bill. I have to stay loyal to that, as I believe people should not be able to capitalize on the original groups, and that is unfortunately what the management of this group is trying to do.

these guys arew great They ARE the Duprees...Tommy the lead singer is the "last new" member the backups have been together for YEARS!! Mike Arnone died so there's 3 backup now also Anthony Calvaggio was the lead singer of 2000 period he sounded like the original BUT Tommy is GREAT

They use to be the greatest, these Duprees are not Originals and can't compare with sound of the Original Duprees, at least Richie Rosato, made the sound beautiful when he sang. He may not have been an Original, but he could sing.

Anything Tom Petillo sings is magical. I am in love with his voice. All the guys in the group are great, but Tommy's voice is sultry and sexy!! I listen to anything and everything The Duprees sing as long as Tommy is the lead singer.
