Food for thought CRJarvis: Jesus most likely spoke in a language called Aramaic, which was the lingua franca during his life time. The Peshitta is the New Testament recorded by Aramaic speaking peoples at the same time as the Western New Testament - some believe the writers of the New Testament wrote in Aramaic, then the Peshitta was translated to Greek. the Old Hebrew (Paleo-Hebrew) became the Hebrew, and Aramaic. so both came from the Old Hebrew. they where vary close.

kind of like hand writing and print.

now I know they have been pulled far from that now.

but we know Jesus knew Hebrew he is quoted speaking Hebrew. he also spoke Aramaic and some Greek.

47 scholars, divided into 6 groups, worked on the translation of the KJV. Most of those 47 from different to prevent error and biased. The KJV is now printed in more languages than I thought every thing from Chinese to English.

So no, you do not have to learn English to read the KJV. With todays technology and translators, nothing will be lost in translation. Besides the KJV is the ONLY way to go! The NIV , NSAB, etc. are missing to much information. Mark 11:26 for instance. Not in NIV.

In the Old T. the word Hell is (sheol)meaning Grave or resting place of the Dead. Sometimes the KJV translate this in to Hell and sometimes to Grave and sometimes to PIT. if the Hebrew word is the same then the english words should be the same every time.

and people wonder why the KJV is hard to understand:

the word "hell" is in the KJV 54 times.

"Pit" is in the KJV 88 times.

"Grave" is in the KJV 67 times 68 if you count "grave's"

in the Hebrew word (sheol) is in the OT 394 times.

i have looked up alot of the omited scriptures and alot of them was a side note that was quoting another scripture in another book. some texts would put the quote in to the scripture where others left it out or as a side note. but the scripture was still in the books they just left the "qoute" of it out. which was not part of that book but was a side note. not sure if this is the same for all of them but it is for a few.

there is Quotes of jesus speaking many diffrent languages. so when quoting jesus they wrote it in the language he spoke it in.

icartoon2, it's easy to prove from the original-language texts, what is from God and what is not, verse-by-verse. Impossible to even understand what Bible really means, from ANY translation. God's Genius is too deft, and won't translate well. In the original you can tell it's the Same Mind from Genesis to Revelation.  Can't see that, in translation.

Any language translation of the received text is fine. I have never in my entire life heard someone say that English all there is. The debate is simply among English translations.

Glocklear doesn't mean "any language translation of the received text" or he would accept Tyndale and Geneva, which are at odds with the KJV in almost as many places as the NIV or NASB is.

The KJV is 90% copy of William Tyndale bible. KJV just gave power back to The Organized religious church system of man. and not of God. yes like jesus told the leaders(scribes and Pharisees) of the organized church(synagogues)of his day. so he speaks to you today.

I have no idea what you're responding to, but I was just pointing out the flaw in Glocklear's logic. He said he would accept "any language translation of the received text" - which would include translations I know he would never use, like Geneva or Tyndale.

And it is only the NT where the KJV is 90% the same as Tyndale. I've read both. The OT is based on Tyndale, Bishops and Geneva, but it is definitely different.
