@sabbathcrazy Hey bro, well mostly Pentatonic, but the "out" stuff is mainly diminshed Half-Whole step stuff, with a few diminshed arpeggio runs as well.
Hey Sabbath! Well, Musicman is partly right, I am in the KEY of G minor, but I never use the Eolian (pure minor scale) in this clip. I use mainly G Dorian (which is a minor scale with the natural 6th). Apart from that I also use a lot of Half-Whole step diminished, and some chromatic ideas as well.
Well, if you wish to play mainly Metal I would say EMG's are fine, but for blues rock funk jazz and so on, they are very undynamic and sterile. I would only use them for metal, nothing else. And even for metal, I think the Bill Lawrence L500XL in bridge and the L500R in neck is far superior ( w w w billlawrence c o m )
Well, I would say that all hardtails (with the same top-wood, thsi is Spalted Maple) would sound almost identical. The difference between the stock Duncan pickups and these original Bill Lawrence (Not Bill Lawrence USA) are HUGE however. Also, the tone is from a Zoom PS-02, which is very smooth and creamy. I would reccomend the Lawrence for these guitars if you play rock/metal, and P-90's in Humbucker size or Gibson 490's if you play Blue/rock.
