Well that's not entirely true: during the Spanish Revolution there was a largely moneyless economy--and I would say it was highly successful. Plus there are many people who work in democratic controlled companies today, in Spain we have the Mondragon cooperative cooperation (50,000 employees) and in Argentine there are 15,000 (or 50,000? I forgot) people working under "autogestion", also highly successful.

Plus there are many people who work in democratic controlled companies today, in Spain we have the Mondragon cooperative cooperation (50,000 employees) and in Argentine there are 15,000 (or 50,000? I forgot) people working under "autogestion", also highly successful.

I used to think Ron Paul was crazy, too. However, I believe his greatest weakness is not his political beliefs. Instead, it is his inability to communicate effectively on the national stage. He comes across as a whiner!
Obviously his colleagues give him plenty of reason to get upset. Still, I think he would have much greater influence if he could learn to communicate in a way that doesn't make people dismiss him before they even listen to what he has to say.

Reagan had everything to do with taking down the Soviet Union and had you spent a few minutes looking into that rather then having your history spoonfed to you, then you would know that your government was taken down by Ronald Reagan. Ronald Reagan was a hypocrite.
He spoke about individual liberty and small government and cutting spending. However, it is the Federal Reserve and GOVERNMENT STATUTES that enforce the fraudulent, debt-based monetary systems of fiat, fractional reserve banking! The Reagan administration DE-REGULATED the debt-based banking system, and hence made the derivatives bubble far worse. You cannot have unregulated debt-based money because it leads unregulated debt and excess money in the system!

Would have been nice had he lived up to that promise. I'm thinking if Bushie hadn't been vp this might have happened. But, Ron Paul is the closest one I've seen who has the actual principles to do just this. Reagan lied, and that's why he failed.

Can you imagine what his numbers would really be if the media did it's job? Think of this, if a Republican had quadrupled the deficit, and had an unemployment rate of 9%, the media would be screaming! They would put experts on all day long criticizing him and remind us hourly how many people are out of work and how the debt was going to destroy our country. With Obama they say "oh look unemployment is going up more slowly". And Obama can lie about anything he wants with no notice. Whores.
