Good video. The Commies were brought to their knees during Linebacker I and II in 1972. I heard during the Christmas bombing that the Commies in Hanoi were so shaken by the bombing that their knees were knocking together, the cowards. Then they were forced to sign the Paris Peace Accords. But Commies are liars--they ignored the treaty and invaded the South again. They won by cheating. And for the next 20 years Vietnam was an economic disaster.

im an south vietnamese and as much as i hate to admit, the fall of the South can't be stop even with the help of the US. The South Vietnamese military is probably one of the most well armed military during that time but we still lose. Fall of the South is not b/c of our military but because of our pathetic leaders and corrupted generals. B/C the leadership is corrupted, why should ordinary vietnamese die for those motherfuckers, that's why theres so many VC.

Many internal problems of the south government have led to the surrender. The south government was gradually damaged by south Liberation Front, some of its corrupted generals, foreign supplies were cut, etc...But the withdrwal of Pleiku province was the biggest mistake by military experts of south Vietnam causing a fatal domino effect! An everlasting painful experience!

As a boy I remember the anger and shame I felt, watching the abandonment of South Vietnam and the final exodus on TV. I have hated the American left since that day, and nothing has happened since then to change my attitude. I don't want to play devil's advocate, but one of the reasons why the communist were able to take power in Vietnam was because it was home-grown and not imposed upon like in eastern Europe. The communist party were able to brainwashed the people into believing that communist policies, nationalism, and Vietnamese confucian tradition were all related in building a government. One of their fallicies was that to attack the "Party" was to attack the country.
