I don't want to be pretentious and give you some arbitrary percentage based on my opinion and not research. But I will say that I have personally encountered at least ten in my life time. I can say that I there are some celebrities from Tiger Woods to Dereck Jeter who are not that forthcoming or firm in discussing their black racial makeup and how people perceive them racially.

I have met Africans who do not want to be associated with Black because of the Bad Media Blacks in low-socioeconomic areas get. well blackness, in all, is a state of seeing someone. Maybe they arnt claiming to be black because of the americanization of the term.Think about it. The terms from nigger to colored folk to black has mainly been american terms and if You interpret how they look at americans and the african american hence "black" culture there, they really wouldnt want to.
