  • your in the army now? is that fake

  • @jugglingkid39 Yes, that is fake. This is just a joke.

  • What is the song when vova does his 3 club routine when practicing for his performance?

  • Красава. Я тоже так же служил :о)

  • Hi Vova, great juggling!

When are you going back to the WJF?

  • @speedproductions797 Vova usually doesn't read YouTube comments, especially on my videos. :-)

I guess he doesn't know it himself when he is going to the WJF and if he is going back to the WJF at all.

  • лучший

  • haha i've watched this vid like 20 times now, i just love all the tricks and trancisions. and i was wondering what the song at 5:56-7:51 was called :)

and while i got your attention mr.Galchenko i also wanted to say that i love how fast you answer my comments ;) on some vids it takes a few hours on other jugglers videos it can take weeks :D i hate to wait!

    ty

  • @jugglinggab94

"what the song at 5:56-7:51 was called"

This is "Organ Donor" by DJ Shadow. The song that plays during the 4 club routine is "Runnin'" by Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G., Instrumental.

  • what song is it at 5:00 is it a homemade piano thing? or is it an anctual song?

and also, i know that vova uses sportojugglingco balls but how big are they?

    ty.

    also VERY nice juggling!!!!!!

  • @jugglinggab94

"what song is it at 5:00 is it a homemade piano thing?"

If you mean the piano thing right before 5:00 (just a few seconds), it is Exorcist movie theme.

    "...how big are they?"

Vova juggles either the 2.75'' or the 3'' model, he doesn't remember which himself. But people say it is the 2.75" one.

  • @Galchenko

ahh ok i see ty so much mr.galchenko.

  • Пиздец!!! Это сколько труда вложено!!! гениально!!! я в шоке

  • what car accident???????????? please reply

  • If you read the comments you would find the info about it. Vova felt asleep at the wheel. His car flipped over and landed on its roof. His car was totaled. But Vova was lucky enough, he only damaged his arm. 20 stitches!

  • 2:25 This trick is great , when he is juggling among his legs. I can't learned this, I was trying do that 1000 times.

  • Well, this is a very hard move. Its name is body throws or alberts or crotches. Just keep practicing.

  • Do you talk english or russia with vova?

  • Russian.

  • Whats the second song called that vova is juggling to?

  • What song do you mean? Specify the time on the video, please.

  • lol, Vova can't do chops ;-p

  • "Vova can't do chops"

What? Why do you say so?

  • he can do them, but it not looks so solid

  • Are you kidding me? Actually Vova's chops are super solid! If in this video they don't look so solid, then maybe it 's because Vova tried to adjust them to the music.

  • Like 4:50.

  • The very first song (a few seconds) is Exorcist movie theme, the second one is "Chateau" from Matrix movie, the third - "Organ Donor" by DJ Shadow. The song that plays during the 4 club routine is "Runnin" by Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G., Instrumental. The song at 3:10 is "The Crystal Method - Keep Hope Alive".

Vova compiled this phonogram from these pieces and probably more, I don't remember.

  • ok thanks

  • how did you make to so that you can hear vovas clubs and your audio swap

  • "how did you make to so that you can hear vovas clubs and your audio swap"

In Adobe Premiere it is easy to do. As well as in many other video edit software.

  • What did that guy give Vova at 2:45 ?

  • "What did that guy give Vova at 2:45 ?"

The CD with the music for this act. Vova gave him this CD in order that he put it on his computer for the show. So this man put Vova's music on the computer and returned the CD back to Vova.

  • Ah,okay.

    Thanks!

  • I was mesmerized & clapping & smiling & screaming even.

When I see something that I know I've never seen before like at 5:50 or 6:30 it makes it such fun.

  • what kind of balls does vova juggle

  • "what kind of balls does vova juggle"

In this video Vova juggles with the beanbags from the Sport Juggling Company. Now Vova juggles with MMX balls from Play.

  • No way, seriously???? MMX plus or? and what size are they?

  • "...what size are they?"

67 mm. But now Vova switched back to the beanbags from the Sport Juggling Company.

  • What is the story behind Vova juggling in this theater?

  • "What is the story behind Vova juggling in this theater?"

What story? He was just practicing there.

  • I mean, how come he has practiced there and not anywhere else?Is it free to practice there?

  • "...how come he has practiced there and not anywhere else?"

Why not anywhere else? Vova practiced in many places.

"Is it free to practice there?"

    For Vova it was free.

  • So he has a special deal with the persons that runs the theather?

  • "So he has a special deal with the persons that runs the theather?"

    Yes.

  • hey, em, i noticed you mention a car accident on some of your videos.

What happened ? i hope no one was hurt.

  • From Vova's blog:

"...I started dozing off again gradually... so gradually that I didn't even notice I was dozing off, until I woke up from the feeling of the car being airborne instinctively pushing the break pedal. Next thing I knew the car flipped over and landed on its roof and hit something. I was shocked..."

  • "...I was shocked. Fortunately I didn't hit anyone. I was hanging upside down on my seatbelt for some reason thinking I had to get out of the car quick. I wasn't thinking straight as I unbuckled my seatbelt, broke the driver's window with my left arm and crawled out of the car. I felt no pain. I looked at the car, it was totaled. The Buick I used for the past 6 months, and we jokingly referred to as chickmobile was dead. I then saw a bunch of blood on myself and the pavement..."

  • "i hope no one was hurt."

    Vova was hurt.

  • Look also at my video named "Recovery".

  • everywhere vova juggles looks the same... are you sure this isn't his mansion? it looks the same... lol

  • what song is this it is a cool song to juggle to

  • What song do you mean? There are many songs in this clip. The first song is "In The Army Now" by Status Quo.

  • do vova juggle rings...?

  • "do vova juggle rings...?"

    Yes.

  • How many 7 ball moves does Vova know and would his 7 ball juggling be on a par with Thomas Dietz?

  • "How many 7 ball moves does Vova know..."

    Very many.

"...would his 7 ball juggling be on a par with Thomas Dietz?"

I think Thomas is better in 7 balls.

  • what kind of clubs does vova use?

  • PX3-Vegas special (PX3-SDS).

  • For some reason he reminds me of Ben Stiller

  • thomas won:(

  • ok:( but tanks anyway!

  • Did vova won the wjf5? I hope he did!

  • "Did vova won the wjf5?"

No, he got second after Thomas in overall championship. Vova won clubs though.

  • u got talent =)

  • these video's are sooo great to watch and learn from (:

    thank you!

  • with wat props is vova the best?

i think clubs but i can't see that very good

    and i have another question

    does vova also juggle rings?

cause i never see him juggling rings

  • "with wat props is vova the best?"

    Clubs.

    "does vova also juggle rings?"

    Yes.

"i never see him juggling rings"

Look at the videos on my YouTube channel named, for instance, "Recovery" or the videos on Vova's channel. For instance, named "Another practice". Vova's YouTube name is VovaGalchenko.

  • it's a really great routine...really nicely performed too. The only thing that kinda bugged me was at 4:11 with the 5 club juggling. Where u were sideways and stopped and then turned and started again. It didn't really seem to flow. Don't get me wrong the u do an AMAZING job!!!

  • "...The only thing that kinda bugged me was at 4:11 with the 5 club juggling. Where u were sideways and stopped and then turned and started again..."

I don't understand what you are talking about. I just watched this moment. I were not sideways, I was behind the camera. And I didn't stop the camera, if you mean that.

"It didn't really seem to flow."

I didn't notice any interruptions here. What do you mean?

  • no...it has nothing to do with the camera. It's just when at 4:11 u caught all the pins, turned and started juggling again. It just looked kinda weird to me the break in juggling for a moment...just different

  • "It's just when at 4:11 u caught all the pins, turned and started juggling again."

OK, I see what you mean. I don't know why Vova decided to do this break. He could do without it.

By the way I am not Vova, I am his father. And they are called clubs, not pins.

  • ok. thanks for talking to me =) sorry about all the confusion. Great juggling at any rate.

  • at 2:45 wile Vova is about to get the 4th club a man steps in and gives he something. what did he give to Vova?

  • "what did he give to Vova?"

That was CD with the music for this act. Vova gave him this CD in order that he put it on his computer for the show. So this man put Vova's music on the computer and returned the CD back to Vova.

  • whats the trick he does at 202

  • "whats the trick he does at 202"

You mean 2:02? This is right between chops and backcrosses.

  • never mind got it

    sorry mr.galchenko

  • what is it then? please. i dont know

  • srsly?

  • "srsly?"

    What?

  • i mean like is this srs? is this the army? i mean about the room, doesnt look like one

  • "i mean like is this srs? is this the army?"

No, this is just a joke. Actually it was Police Day in Russia and policemen rehearsed their piece as well in the same hall.

  • no srs. look at that design, looks like gymnesium or somethin (sorry for spelling)

  • "looks like gymnesium or somethin"

This is the so-called "School of Arts" or a cultural center which contains many studios like numerous dance studios, pantomime theatre, circus studio, vocal studios, and many more.

  • just what i was thiking it looked like! because i thought you said thats the army and i look and like...... huh?

  • Are the PX3 Vegas Special clubs similar to the PX3 Deco Vegas clubs? Or are they the same? Thanks.

  • "Are the PX3 Vegas Special clubs similar to the PX3 Deco Vegas clubs? Or are they the same?"

I guess similar. Just visit their site and see what's the difference.

  • I think the only difference is in the decoration.

(not 100% sure though, but I didn't read any other differences.)

  • Px3 Vegas SDS is the same as Px3 Vegas SD, but with a colored mylar. The clubs Vova uses in this video is the SD version. In later and new videos I've seen him juggle the SDS clubs (red).

  • awesome!!!!!

  • tnx!and what kind of clubs?henris or the italian PX3?

    medivh

  • "and what kind of clubs?"

    PX3-Vegas special (PX3-SDS).

  • beangbags??really??

    medivh

  • "beangbags??really?"

Yes, visit their site and you will see.

  • what kind of balls use vova??

    medivh

  • "what kind of balls use vova?"

The beanbags Vova juggles are from the Sport Juggling Company (sportjugglingco dot com).

  • wat is the 1 song?? thks te russian army the best

  • "wat is the 1 song?"

"In The Army Now" by Status Quo.

  • vova did you ever use the pro starter clubs and if you did are they any good?

  • Unfortunately, Vova doesn't read YouTube comments.

"did you ever use the pro starter clubs..."

As far as I know Vova never used the Pro Starter Clubs.

  • As far as I know, he started with Renegades, but, well, switched to Px3 after some time. At least that what it sounded like in the video where he talks about clubs.

  • I think many manufacturers have "pro starter clubs" so this questions ie extremely unprecise. But as I said in the other comment, I believe he started with Renegades and switched to Px3 because the people who make them have better service; the clubs last much much longer, and they probably feel better, and are not as tough on your hands.

  • "I think many manufacturers have "pro starter clubs" so this questions ie extremely unprecise."

When I answered that question, I just googled "pro starter clubs" and got the clubs named exactly "Pro Starter Clubs" among the PX3 clubs. I didn't see such a name on other manufacturer's sites. Well, not that I looked for them there.

  • Well, I think Beard, Passe Passe and Henry's all have "pro starter clubs" too.

  • "I think Beard, Passe Passe and Henry's all have "pro starter clubs" too."

    OK, maybe.

  • "I believe he started with Renegades..."

No, he started with homemade clubs, then Radical Fishes (he used them for a year and had a good experience with them), then Beards Euro (Vova used them for 2 years and had a good experience with them), then Renegades (he used them for a year and had a bad experience with them), and finally he switched to PX3.

  • I don't think he said all that in the video, but never mind, now I know. So he had bad experience with Renegades? Was that mainly because they hurt your hands a lot, or anything else?

  • "So he had bad experience with Renegades?"

    Yes.

"Was that mainly because they hurt your hands a lot, or anything else?"

Mainly because of knobs constantly falling off.

  • "I believe he started with Renegades and switched to Px3 because the people who make them have better service; the clubs last much much longer, and they probably feel better, and are not as tough on your hands."

    Yes, you are right.

  • great video vova you are an awesome juggler

  • When is Vova Apparel going to be available on the Galchenko website?

And Vova is amazing..as well as all the galchenkos. I love the first song too.

  • "When is Vova Apparel going to be available on the Galchenko website?"

He is not planning on that as far as I know.

  • Oh, my bad. It just says on the website under "merchandise" that apparel and such will be "coming soon", so i was just curious.

  • "Oh, my bad."

I guess this is Vova's bad. This "coming soon" is from summer 2006 on their website.

  • nah the coolest ball trick is the 644 into 6x4. vova is a f***in genious.

  • thanks!

  • i think one of your coolest tricks with 5 balls is the one were you throw 4 up and they are all in a straight line..and they land in your hand and you go into a full shower ...pretty cool looking

  • what song is playing at minut 6??? i love it!

  • ke asko me dan los villas brothers hablando en ingles xDDD

Yo diria ke es de la banda sonora de matrix, la misma kancion ke empieza sobre el minuto 5, pero no lo se seguro

    PUTA!!! xDDD

  • "what song is playing at minut 6?"

This is "Organ Donor" by DJ Shadow.

  • Just curious, how did Vova avoid the Russian Army haircut?

  • Vova never was in the Russian Army. This is just a joke. Nobody would allow him to juggle in the Russian Army, let alone to wear so long hair.

  • he trew balls at them :p

  • Another great Vova video! Are several of these combinations his invention?

  • "Are several of these combinations his invention?"

    Not sure.

  • the trick you do at 3:55 you can now do with seven, its mazing how quickly you improve.

  • What do you mean, ChrisN94? It is 5 club 3 up 360 at 3:55. Do you mean Vova can do 7 club 5 up 360 now? He could do it in November 2006 as well. Watch the video "Struggling with 7 club 5 up 360". These are not the top moves Vova could do in November 2006 in this video. These are rehearsals for his performance on stage. Obviously Vova doesn't include his hardest tricks in his performances.

  • i meant the 3 up 180 connected with the 3 up. i believe i saw it in your last video? (only it was a five up)

  • no, it was with six, sorry, although still great improvement.

  • What did the man give vova at 2:45?

    Lionel

  • "What did the man give vova at 2:45?"

CD with the music for this act. Vova gave him this CD in order that he put it on his computer for the show. So this man put Vova's music on the computer and returned the CD back to Vova.

  • He is AMAZING! I can only say that...

Watching Vova and Olga's video made me wanted to learn how to juggle...and yes, I learnt, but I can juggle only up to 4 balls, and 4 not that good, but I'm practicing, and I like it ;) Anyway, I've started 2 weeks ago, so it's not that bad...lol

Best of luck to Vova and Olga who are my inspiration ;)

  • Awesome, man.

  • Thanks for the info on the balls. If you don't mind, another wild question - how much are the juggling pins? They seem to have a certain balance about them - the way they are able to "kick" them up. Are they heavy? Wood?

  • "how much are the juggling pins?"

They're called juggling clubs. They are from like $5 to $50 each. Vova's clubs are the most expensive.

    "Are they heavy?"

No. They weigh about 200 g (7 oz).

    "Wood?"

    No, mostly plastic.

  • I notice the balls don't "roll" off when set down - what are they made of? What do they feel like? Are they liquid filled? Amazing

  • "I notice the balls don't "roll" off when set down - what are they made of?"

They are juggling beanbags. Vova's are made by Sport Juggling Company. Each ball is patiently hand made using Ultraleather fabric and is filled with millet.

    "What do they feel like?"

I don't know how to explain.

    "Are they liquid filled?"

No. They are filled with millet. But liquid filled juggling balls exist as well.

  • who teach vova to juggle ?

  • "who teach vova to juggle?"

He was taught juggling at the Circus School.

  • Whats the name of the 5 Ball trick at 00:56 - 1:00

  • "Whats the name of the 5 Ball trick at 00:56 - 1:00"

    (6x,4)(4,6x)

  • "I think it took 3 years for Vova to get 5 balls solid."

Was that 3 years from when he started juggling or started practising 5 balls? And how long did he practise to get 7 balls and clubs? I think I'll never get that far, but I'm well on my way with 5 balls, nearing a 100 catches at best. Vova has been a big inspirer to me.

  • "Was that 3 years from when he started juggling or started practising 5 balls?"

From when he started juggling. He wasn't so serious about juggling then by the way.

"And how long did he practise to get 7 balls and clubs?"

7 balls from first attempts to 100 catches - I think 1.5 years

7 clubs from first attempts to 100 catches - about 1 year

  • Does Vova practice EVERYDAY ? I'm started juggling a few months ago, now i'm stuck at 5 balls ! How to juggle 5 balls ?!

  • "Does Vova practice EVERYDAY ?"

He tries to practice everyday. But sometimes he can't find time for it. So I would say he practices 6 days a week.

"I'm started juggling a few months ago, now i'm stuck at 5 balls ! How to juggle 5 balls ?!"

Practice, practice and practice! You want too much. I think it took 3 years for Vova to get 5 balls solid. 3 years of everyday practice about 40 minutes a day.

  • "Practice, practice and practice! You want too much. I think it took 3 years for Vova to get 5 balls solid. 3 years of everyday practice about 40 minutes a day."

That doesn't seem possible that someone of his skill level would take that long to have 5 balls solid.

The level of talent and work ethic to get to this level is awe inspiring.

  • hi mr.

    just one question...

does vova meet gatto? i mean... i don't know much about it.. but gatto seems not to like to compete.. or soething similar... are they friends or so?

    just curiosity...

  • "does vova meet gatto?"

What do you mean? Vova met Anthony Gatto first time in 2003 on the IJA festival in Reno.

    "are they friends or so?"

I wouldn't say they are friends. But they are definitely not enemies.

  • thanks for answering

    very kind of ur part

    have a good one

    Glick

  • 16 days after the car accident

    what car accident was it?

    where? was it bad?

so vova is in russia and olga in usa? wich state?

    thanks

  • "what car accident was it?"

Vova felt asleep at the wheel. His car flipped over and landed on its roof. Read details in Vova's blog entry "GPA golfer gig, going-away party, Lindsay, car accident".

    "where?"

    In California.

    "was it bad?"

His car was totaled. But Vova was lucky enough, he only damaged his arm. Again read details in his blog or watch my video named "Vova in Russia again, 25 Oct 2006".

  • "so vova is in russia and olga in usa?"

When this video was taped (November 2006) Vova was in Russia, and Olga - in the USA. Now (July 2007) vice versa Olga is in Russia, Vova - in America.

    "wich state?"

    They live in California.

  • who are you are u related to the galchenko's?

  • "who are you are u related to the galchenko's?"

I am Vova and Olga's father.

  • oh thats cool did u ever juggle?

  • "oh thats cool did u ever juggle?"

Just for fun. 10 minutes a day.

  • what's the music which starts at 5:50? great skills btw ;)

  • I guess this is "Organ Donor" by DJ Shadow.

  • Never herd of this kid before, hes got talent thats for sure.

One question is he in the Russian Army? Or does he just use their facilities or something for some reason..???

  • "One question is he in the Russian Army? Or does he just use their facilities or something for some reason..?"

No. It was a joke. Actually it was the Police Day in Russia and policemen rehearsed their piece as well in the same hall.

By the way Vova lives in the USA. He was in Russia in November 2006, when this video was taped.

  • i beleieve he is 19

  • I was wondering how Vova is right now?

  • How old I mean

  • He is 19 now. Projugglerboy is right.

  • Galchenko, what is the song of his routine ?

  • "what is the song of his routine ?"

Vova compiled this phonogram from the following pieces: the very first song (a few seconds) is Exorcist movie theme; the second one is "Chateau" from Matrix movie; the third - "Organ Donor" by DJ Shadow; the song that plays during the 4 club routine is "Runnin'" by Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G., Instrumental... and probably more, I don't remember.

  • Had Vova free time at that moment?

Because in the background the soldiers do practice?

  • It was a joke. Actually it was the Police Day in Russia on November 10 and policemen rehearsed their piece as well in the same hall.

Nobody will allow you to juggle in the Russian Army even in your free time. :-)

  • What it for musician (composer)?

  • In this video? "In The Army Now" by Status Quo. And the same as in his act.

  • But I would like that (in order to) it coached me vova ...:D

  • Wanted to ask I coach on one day vova?

  • Didn't understand you again. Sorry. You want Vova to coach you?
