Mig 21 is a legend. In a capable hands it can be deadly. These dogfight videos are so biased. There were Mig Aces from soviet union during Korean War. There were Mig 21 Aces from Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Even in Angola-South African War, there were Cuban pilots shot down several Mirage F1, but not enough kills to become Aces. Why can't they even show German and Japanese Aces from WWII. Everybody knows German Aces has the most kill in dogfights in the History with 200+ kills.

The Vietnamese did not have many Mig-21's. The used them sparingly. No one knows the correct kill ratio. Both sides fudged the numbers. The F-4's would of done better if they would of had a gun in addition to missiles.

Especially taken into consideration that the F4 was a far more expensive plane. The Mig-21 ranks as a legend, right up there with F4 and F16. Magnificent plane for its time.

And they were all being supplied by trains, built with US steel, and riding on US made tracks. And they were talking to each other on US radios because Russian radios didn't work half the time.

Mig 21 is a legend. In a capable hands it can be deadly. These dogfight videos are so biased. There were Mig Aces from soviet union during Korean War. There were Mig 21 Aces from Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Even in Angola-South African War, there were Cuban pilots shot down several Mirage F1, but not enough kills to become Aces. Why can't they even show German and Japanese Aces from WWII. Everybody knows German Aces has the most kill in dogfights in the History with 200+ kills.

The Vietnamese did not have many Mig-21's. The used them sparingly. No one knows the correct kill ratio. Both sides fudged the numbers. The F-4's would of done better if they would of had a gun in addition to missiles.

Especially taken into consideration that the F4 was a far more expensive plane. The Mig-21 ranks as a legend, right up there with F4 and F16. Magnificent plane for its time.

I just wrapped up my first round of ACM training in the F/A-18D. I'd like to fly the Super Bug, but there are still only a few and the are piloted by the most experienced guys. Mainly former Tomcat drivers.

Nguen Van Kok (probable mispelling) (9 victories), Mai Van Quong (8 victories) e t c - totaly 18 vietnameese aces who downed from 9 to 5 american jets. I can`t mention names of Soviet pilots for a reason their names wasnt ever published.

Two fronts of America didn`t worth even 1/4 of one of ours. Actualy USSR fought on 3 fronts while keeping eye on 4th - in the far east. There was 5000km long warzone with 3 fronts - North Central and South - USSR took out 80% of Axis forces.
A6M Zero never was top of its class in 1940 - it was fighter of 1930s - similar to I-16 a completely outdated by 1941. Best german fighter was not 109 but FW 190 actualy

The US also supplied the USSR with 20 Corps of tanks, 32 Air Divisions of Fighters/bombers...

@MarshallJukov First off... coastal guns aren't very effective against carrier aircraft. Secondly, there were two 12in/52 type 1907 guns, and only two.
Secondly, those "dozens of thouzands(sic) of men were riding on US equipment. Those "dozens of thousands" or armored units were built with US steel. And they were all being supplied by trains, built with US steel, and riding on US made tracks. And they were talking to each other on US radios because Russian radios didn't work half the time.
