  • Great vid, just purchased myself a set of the splash jr's tonight. They absolutely rock, i run them as either uplighting or wash lights along with my Chauvet Fallout and Chauvet Mushroom LED. And the jr's built in patterns include a quick cycle, slow cycle, strobe fast, strobe slow, kind of police lighting, and rgb mixing. Great lights.

  • 7 min of talk. I bet you talk a lot when you dj. LOL

  • One more thing, i will post a video on them soon, so you can check them out, DJ Krispy has one review on them too.

  • BTW great Video! and thanks for all your advice to all the DJ's out here!

  • I really like the American Dj color shot, you should look into them, 2 are more than enough to cover a good size dance floor. You can run them DMX or sound active mode, though sound active seems to just strobe to the beat of the music, DMX you can use them as a wash light, musictrends has them for $99 you can get them at musician's friend for $118 get them to price match they will come down to around $97. I get all my lights through them becuase of the extended 3 year plan it covers most damage.

  • am i the only dj that doesnt like or want LEDs

Am i the only dj that has realised lights such as the revo looks shit?

Am i the only Dj that favours a gobo and Hallogen light to what i call "a jumped up fairy light"

LEDs produce a small array of dots where as hallogen has patterns

AND am i the onyl Dj that DOESNT RIP OFF HIS CUSTOMERS

if its a small room you get a small light rig

    big room big rig

    FOR THE SAME PRICE!!!!

Stop ripping customers off and look proffesional with PROPER lights!

    pathetic

  • @jazzyjaxroadshow Your a little in over your head my friend. If your pertaining to this video AS I REMEMBER..he said "I usually bring this to every gig "FOR FREE!" Last time i checked, when was anything FREE a rip off. Hes actually giving them a GREAT deal...as for MOST djs, they charge for lighting. And when you purchase you some EXPENSIVE moving heads and scanners vs. these small LED fixures and you charge them the same for both packages...your actually ripping yourself off bro! Think about it

  • @BCEntertainmentLive i charge the same price for a reason. you walk into really large venue and the Dj has a small light show, automatically as a potential customer your going to assume him to be unprofessional. why let them think that in the first place? i know its about the music and how they entertain but customers dont. you bring a set-up that suits the venue and everybody becomes a potential customer, and everybody is "Wowed". it costs more for an LED moving head than hallogen over here btw

  • @jazzyjaxroadshow Theres a solution for that! Change Up Your Packages. You can still have an awesome smaller package. Its left up to you what you offer your clients. I have 3 packages. An ONLY (AUDIO) package, small light show (PARTY) package, and a large light show (CLUB) package. More than likely EVEN if you have no lights...you will get potential customers from almost EVERY gig. Dont rip yourself off by charging a smaller amount for a high end package...

  • Nice vid dude. Very informative. I use Velcro straps that I have made myself to run all of the DMX & power cables.

I have the Chauvet Vue VI too, how do you like it?

    DJ RuDe

    Keep Spinnin'!!

  • There really is not community.

  • nice video but I got a quick question would you use this for uplighting?

  • ugh you didnt really join the community you havent made a video into a year

  • Great video ! I need to get into lighting and the LED's I'm looking at are the Chauvet Colorsplash, this motivated me to lean towards that more.

  • nice tips but really i found dossent really apply to much larger rigs with heaps of conventional(20 par 56) and dmx lighting(scanners, moving heads, led parcans) because i end up with about 17 individual cables for power and dmx and trying to pre rig all that over a quite large and allready heavy truss system

  • awesome vid man, THX

  • Good info, Thanks!

Next time avoid backlighting your subject. Put the bright dining room light behind you, not on the other side of your subject.

  • I just bought 2 literally like 20 minutes and I dont have a controller How do i link them so that its the same color or is there a cheap sound active controller? I cant fiquire these things out help!

  • if you want it to be the same color connect them with a dmx cable and set one to master one to slave (see the manual) the controller i have them hooked up to is the elation dmx programmer ($199) otherwise u would have to manually change the color via dipswitch on the back which is very inconvenient. feel free to contact me back if u need more help!!!

  • welcome

  • Welcome!! great video very impressed:)

  • Do you think the are bright enough for uplighting?

  • i know rrollergod did a video on chauvet colorsplash jr's and uplighting, but he used all 4 to light something up, maybe mobilejock4life can do a vid on uplighting with just 1 or 2

  • great video, thanks for the info.

  • sound advice and a great video......welcome aboard !!

  • great vid, looking forward your next videos.
