The Blue Note! What a place full of magic and avantgarde it was. Descending the stairs down to the dancefloor, you could feel the bass climbing up your spinal tab, with every step you took a little bit more. Great space for great music it was!

How did Kemistry pass away?

Sorry for the very late reply. Kemistry's death was one of those awful completely random tragedies. I hardly new her but travelled occasionally with Kemi and Storm on a few Metalheadz toured. She was a really nice girl.

As I understand it, one night she was in the car with Storm, and a freak accident occurred - a road marker was flipped into the air by a truck in front, which then flew through the windscreen and hit her in the head. I can't imagine how Storm felt. Awful.

It was a wicked place but those visuals hurt my head now. It was also possible to sneak in a back door for free if you were feeling tight on a sunday night. Only did that once!

Ah the memories! This has got to be one of the finest jungle/d'n'b clubs ever. Small, nice visuals and great music at the time. Never bothered about Angel after Blue Note closed...

Ah, that takes me back, I was there, I remember these. Then it moved to Angel in what is now a shopping center. . . and now you can't smoke in clubs. All makes me feel old ;)
