I just read in a RC book: if we leave everything to enter in Gods Kingdom and we start to be important in His Kingdom, than also we are acting as hypocrites. In my experience it has to do with finding our identity ONLY in Christ. Jesus does not want to use us, He wants that we use Him, because He is our Life - Galatians 2:20. If my identity is in my 'working' and i get paralyzed and i loose my identity, than i have build my life on sand. If somebody wants to see my video: Watching From Above!
It's all too easy to exalt oneself, to feel "spiritual". Yet, Christ said: "Blessed are the poor in spirit". Once we forget to realize our spiritual bankruptcy, we step into the trap of pride, boasting and self-serving.
I just discovered you today. I commend you on your presentation though now it is months old. The scripture you have presented illuminates the very stumbling block of dead "religion" or self-serving ministry from which men seek to gain control over and prosper from their God-given gift. The whole paradigm of The Gospel, the Kingdom of God and discipling believers must be rethought. In light of Jesus words. Kind regards.
Hey Dave, good message there, you've got the pipes for this sort of thing for sure. Keep on doing it and you should go for a more conversational "natural and unaffected" tone in your delivery--you'll find people respond better to that--e-mail me if you need more info--take care
That was a fine message, David. Thank you for sharing this important scripture and drawing out true application. May His servant leadership light the way for us, His children. And, to kill pride, may we always remember we have nothing that we did not receive.

:) According to Jesus' words: the fact that some "teachers" slip a little Jesus to you, doesn't make them true ministers of the Gospel.

Correction: part of the Bible was written before Jesus was on earth, part of it after that. And secondly, He died but rose from the dead.

I'm glad I'm Dutch then :)

Yes. And may we stay genuine, realizing that we are vulnerable to fear of man and hypocrisy.
