I have always been a weightlifting kind of guy so I was very skeptical about elastic bands until I tried them. I do my shoulder laterals and presses on elastic bands now. My shoulders were real sore for the first three weeks but now they feel great. My rotator cuffs feel great and I am able to perform incline presses with no pain for the first time in five yrs. This works.
I will never train without them... I recommend supersetting with free weights on a push/pull ex- i have been having soreness in my elbows from skull crushers, but i actually do preexhaustion arms with these bands, superset with free weights, and i haven't had any problems since! you can't get a physical appearance like TO without free weights for yrs, but these bands can shred you up, big time!!!!!
The clip system enables you to increase the resistance at any point. So, yes you can most definitely progressively overload your muscles. That is the beauty of this system.
been using them for two weeks. Did not expect to be this sore. Starting to believe they may actually be as good as free weights, only time will tell though. If so, the convenience of not going to the gym is priceless.
cant wait to get these! i use a diff company's bands right now and they alleviated my back pain a lot better than lifting weights ever have. but i like these cuz u can clip on bands to the handles. i can't do that w/ the bands i have now. i want to keep challenging myself.
i have some resistance the fuckers are a good workout n pump your arms

can you progressivly overload with them? e.g. can you make it so the resistance get's gradually harder as your muscles adapt and get used to it?
If so then they are very good, but i just feel they have limitations, compared to free weights.

yeah, with the regular bands, you have to buy a whole new set with more resistance if you want to move up.
