Phantom get's ressurected in Bayonetta and renamed Phantasmarae.

To drive the point home, they both have the same pose in their pictures and both of which are mostly made of lava (Phantom has stone-like legs, Phantasmarae is made of hair).

I noticed something: The environment is the cause for Phantom and Griffin's deaths. Phantom because of the sword statue, and Mundus saw that Griffin was worthless after being crushed by the stone, so he killed him. Weird huh?

still DMC 1 is the most reality games of the 3 games on PS2 like when you play with sparda you are using Luce&Ombra the weapons sparda made and on DMC 3 you are using Ebony and Ivory wich are dante's guns and on the first part you are using Yamato the sword vergil has in Dmc 3 that's why it said it'a gift from his father Sparda

DMC2 Dante's mouth was cursed. But in my opinion the last Despair scene is already outstanding even without Jackpot. If he said it then, it was perfect.

I hate to say that but he still have that annoying DMC3 voice and taunt. He looks like DMC3 Dante, both in gameplay and in the rest. Capcom doesn't have anymore new ideas. I'm looking forward for the DDT anyway, and a very cool DT which may be superior to DMC2 one.

looks like? you mean he just has a coat but nothing underneath? i don't care witch dante they use; just leave out puns and their other voice actors ( from the resident and silent hill series. they sound reeeal scared of that walking fetus,lemme tell ya. in anycase no devil may cry will ever be complete without the jackpot. i know nero doesn't have dante's specific pistols (ebony and ivory) but im sure he could improvise.

fair enough. ......even though dante's gameplay may remain the same, i think they might slow it down enough for the players eyes to keep up with. that was your gameplay complaint with dmc3 yes? dante DOES move way too fast in dmc3. my eyes still can hardly keep up.

No. The problem of DMC3 were Dante's voice and the style thing. The latter because it was a pretty much useless thing, as only Trickster and RoyalGuard were useful styles. The other ones were 100% useless. I prefer the other Dante-s, more simple to play (and this is why I loved Vergil in DMC3). For the speed, it was completely right, but I don't care really, it just depends on the game.

the speed was the problem for me. i couldn't keep up. as opposed to dmc1 and 2 he moved just right. dmc1 so far is the only one to have uber-dramatic boss deaths. dmc2 had only arius and despair were the only ones to have kickass deaths. well,defeat in arius'case. in dmc3 ...you didn't really kill any boss. they just turned into weapons. demon arkham and virgil's deaths were quite kickass.

Yeah. I'm waiting for cool bosses in DMC4 (Berial for me is still nothing). I want to fight a tentacle monster for example, as DMC4 has environment near sea.

i don't care who or what the boss is. i'm ok if i get i weapon or whatever after the last fight with a boss. as long as they die a deadly death i'm fine. preferably death sequences that somehow include the enviroment. like in this vid. or,even better, they could show nero or dante giving them a final blow in cutscenes. that would be awesome.

It is not the same Phantom. DMC2 one is technically stronger (hardly stunned and only the head is vulnerable, but a battle is somewhat easier than DMC1 one) and ...female, as in DMC2 she got only a female voice. And she's also smaller. Probably one of the Phantom babies.
