Oh God! This is one of my all-time mellow rock favorite classic of 1986! This song makes me cry remembering being home alone in my childhood days... This song became No.1 in the Philippines by the early February 1986 for 5 consecutive weeks! Ann Wilson of HEART band have great vocals, great tune although not-so great meaning of the song but forever a classic! I wish someone would upload the OFFICIAL VIDEO of this song. Heart was the first concert I went to in 1980. Heart was one of those groups that their live performances were amazing and often beyond the album cuts. Notice how many tracks on their albums are live performance recordings.

Truly one of the best "soft" songs that Heart ever came up with. Ann Wilson's voice is just so perfect for this song, and Howard Leese on those keyboards just makes it a true classic! Plus, I just love watching studio work as it is being made.

Wow. I love this song, and I can sing this song. Of course, never better than Ann. This is such an amazing song and she is so pretty. I love the in-studio recording, did they do that in, say, 1987? Good job, Ann. :)

@weirdowaldo They didn't write it. This was recorded before the "Heart" album was released obviously, and at this point they had been dropped from their label. Their career was in decline and I am sure the stress was incredible. Of course once this album was released, it was good times.

this was written by ann, nancy and sue ennis. more proof their 1985 material was great and most of it was written by them.

Ann, Nancy and Sue were the sole authors of this song. Check the credits on the cd jacket, wikipedia or any other source. They wrote or co-wrote The following songs from their self-titled "comeback" album: Never, The Wolf, All Eyes, Nobody Home, What He Don't Know & Shell Shock. For the two albums to follow, they would write fewer and fewer of the songs, until finally regaining creative control with 1993's "Desire Walks On."

They had the idea to video the sessions to capture the actual takes of the songs that made it onto the album. I'm sure there were more that didn't make the cut. For some reason this video was never released. There's some amazing footage from it though.

i hope there is live in 1985 video recordings of their concerts somewhere. i really lament that i didn't have a camcorder for my own personal videos in the mid 1980s so i hope someone took the initiative to videotape the 1985 concerts.

i'm sure i could have snuck in a camera into their 1985 concert but i had no idea i would be so blown away that night.

i really regret not taking more pictures in the mid 1980s and hope heart doesn't have the same mid 1980s regret i do.

Not video, but there are some good audios out there.  There is a website called Wolfgang's Vault that has live audios of concerts. They have a really great Heart concert from '85 that was broadcast on the radio. Check it out!
