I read that usually man-eater lions were bolder than man-eater tigers. Lion can attack men in villages while tigers do that rather rarely. However, among man-eater big cats tigers rule.

Was the bear attacking you or just close by? And you can't tell me you weren't scared. Also, predators risk injury all the time when they hunt or fight. That's pretty inescapable. They just try and minimize the risk of injury by avoiding unnecessary confrontation.

The number of lions killed by people is far greater than the converse. Lions are endangered in Africa, down to around 20,000 from 500,000 back in the 1950s; and much more before that. It's really hard to feel sorry for a species that wreaks so much havoc on others.

The hunting of lions and other animals is very heavily regulated. Everyone stating otherwise needs to do their research.

I believe they usually avoid humans, so it's not as simple as "lion + human = lion eat human." If they hunted us like they hunted deers, then they'd be nobody left living in those areas with lions. So if those people have been walking in lion territory for years without getting attacked, then I think "Why are they attacking us? We're humans!!! Don't eat humans!" might actually be a reasonable question.

The age of wild animals roaming freely on 100th km2 of land is history. Humans have won the evolutionary battle and are entitled to own the world. Thus, wild animals should be decimated and held in confined Animal Parks and zoological gardens. End of the problem. Who cares, if we now only see the Tasmanian Tiger on photos? I don't mind to see tigers, lions, hyenas, crocks etc. only in historic documentary.... just the same as we see the dinosaurs and mammoth etc.
