We also had one of the best football teams in the 1900's but thanks to the government that faded away. Football is a world game, played by many different countries from around the globe. MLSE has the money to sign big time superstars, but because we are in the MLS they don't want come here. We make do with what we have.

TFC fans may support teams in other leagues, but at BMO they truly are " all for one ". Your city team is your city team, win lose or draw. I went saw Sunderland beat Bolton about ten years ago, the fans are much crazier than Canada's and U.S. fans. The most intimidating fans in North America would include Montreal (hockey), Philidelphia (football) and Oakland (football).

And yes I've been to a Premereship game in England (Sunderland vs, Bolton) and the crowds are rowdy, most of the singing and chanting however coming from behind the goals as they try to keep opposing hooligans as far away from eachother as possible.

I think you've got the wrong guy here. I'm the one who aid football supporters are crazier. However in North America, the numbers of "hooligans" (as you call them) who support MLS are smaller in numbers and are nothing compared to Euro and South American fans. Also, Philadelphia, Oakland, New York Jets and Giants "throw ball fans" (as you call them) also out shine MLS fans due to bigger numbers, bigger stadiums and of course many more fights etc... at their games.

Are we really posers? You might want to look up the history of football, because the first ever game played under modern rules took place in Toronto in 1876. We also had one of the best football teams in the 1900's but thanks to the government that faded away. Football is a world game, played by many different countries from around the globe. MLSE has the money to sign big time superstars, but because we are in the MLS they don't want come here. We make do with what we have.

we didn't know how football would be received by the fans at BMO after a disappointing start on the road - I was at this game, and THIS was memorable, spontaneous, and moving. TFC fans may support teams in other leagues, but at BMO they truly are " all for one ". Your city team is your city team, win lose or draw. If some folks neer at people supporting "shitty" teams, they clearly don't love football or know much about being a true fan.

i agree with you, but i have heard rumours that they are going to make renovations within the next few years to bring it up to 30,000. lets not forget the ol' exhibition stadium sat 25,000 when it opened, but was up to 45,000 before it closed, and i think we will see the same sort of thing with BMO field...alot of stadiums have added thousands of seats over the years
