@Jayee123 Yes..Judy sang this to a photo and then some film footage of Gable. Thats what gave me the idea to use this song with Gable ... love Gable ... one of my fave's !! I love so many of her songs from Love Me or Leave Me ... really great. So happy you enjoyed !!

@Jayee123 It is a great role for Doris .. no doubt about it. It makes you wonder what kind of roles she could have played had she been under contract to MGM instead of Warners. Warners not really the top notch musical maker.. compared to MGM. Oh well ... at least she was able to do this one there.

Doris Day has so much TRUTH in her sound. She literally "hits you over the head" with perfection! It is impossible for me to express how very much I absolutely adore all her many talents. Then there is her look! Gosh! Maybe just thee most perfect woman the good Lord could have ever come up with! Well - tell Jemma she sure has good taste !! I really love Gable too ! In her book, Doris said when she was a kid and they played movie stars ... she always wanted to be married to Clark Gable. Then she got to make Teachers Pet with him and it was a real joy for her. She said he was a big, sweet teddy bear of a man.

I bought Jemma a Clarke Gable book last Xmas. She loved it. She just happened to see Gone With The Wind one Sunday and was instantly smitten. She scolded me, "Mum, why didn't you tell me about him, he's so gorgeous"...LOL!!!! It just shows you it doesn't matter what generation we talkm about, a handsome hunk is a handsome hunk!!!!!!! Thats great. You know it always surprises me - the number of young people on yt that love the classics. I have quite a few friends here that are in their teens and old movies are their passion. As they are mine ! So -- hopefully they'll never disappear ! I'm much rather watch an ole movie than some of this stuff they do today. Josh got me to watch Pulp Fiction last weekend .. made it about 3/4's through and couldn't take it anymore ! yuck ! Not for me ! Old movies all the way ! lol

I've been an old movie fanatic since I was about 8. Back in the days when you had 3 channels to choose from and your tv was black and white with rabbit ears ! And no remote ! What would kids do now ??

He really is. Doris said in her bio that he was such an adorable big bear of a man -and so kind and gentle. Very concerned about doing a scene just the way the director wanted it and offering to do it over if he wanted something else. Doris thought he was very special.
