Hi Hayley, it's been a lifetime since I saw Joe and Kenny, would love to get in touch with Joe. Parking Lot did not morph into harmony Grass, Tony Rivers and the Castaways became Harmony Grass, Joe and Brian left Parking Lot to join Harmony Grass, after that Mick Claxton, keyboards left, parking lot carried on with a girl named Ellie on Keyboards, Tony something on vocals and Chaz Wade on drums and me on bass,
I have both Krazy Kat albums and the line up was Tony Ferguson and Graham White on Guitar and vocals, roger Bradley Willis, Drums and vocal, Ray Lewis, bass and Vocals and Harry McDonald Keyboards and vocals. Both KK and CB were really underated bands and I had the pleasure of seeing Capability Brown twice and met the band who were such lovely people. Dave Nevin wasn't in Sparrow. They were John Milton, Tom Marshall , Stuart Calver, Brian Hudson and Tony "H" Harding.Another good band !!
Roger Willis is my father and as a young girl growing up with 'Uncle Ken' and 'Uncle Joe' it is heart warmng to read your positive comments about the band. I wish I'd have seen them 'live'!!
They were a brilliant band. I saw them many times I never saw them give a duff performance. Quite often putting the top of the bill to shame e.g. Genesis Yes etc.Besides the vocal harmonies they used to do three part guitar harmonies which made the stage act very exciting. After the split the nucleus became Krazy Kat and they released 2 albums Very very underrated
Although my album was lost many years ago, I'm almost certain there was a cover of Beautiful Scarlet, I'd love to hear it again, can't get hold of this album either vinyl or CD, presumably deleted........anyone?
Joe Williams was previously the singer in The Parking Lot, the drummer being Brian Hudson who earlier had been Tony Rivers and the Castaways' drummer this band later becoming Harmony Grass. What goes around ... I think Joe was in Krazy Kat as well.
Michael Claxton: keyboards and guitar - The Parking Lot
@Seibukitanodai - Hi Michael, no Joe wasn't in Krazy Kat. The ex Capes in Krazy Kat were Tony Ferguson, Roger Willis, Kenny Rowe and the late Grahame White. That left Dave Nevin and Joe. I think Dave Nevin formed a group called Sparrow. I don't know what happened to Joe. I saw Capability once and Krazy Kat either once or twice. Both were great bands. A friend saw Capability towards the end of their days and said a couple of them almost had a fight on stage...all because one of them was too loud.
Wow, You-Tube sure can stir the memories! This must have been the first band I ever saw. Always turning up in the clubs in Leicester. Thanks for posting!
a totally brill band live-saw them at friars then went to an all nighter in kings cross -i remember ray and i asleep in marylebone station at 3 am- that must have been 71- love this track
Brilliant to hear this again - they did a great cover of Lindisfarnes 'Wake up Little Sister' It was on a great sampler on Charisma' ne more Chance' which also featured 'Happy the Man' by Genesis and one of favourites 'It's a Game' by String Driveb Thing
Any info would be welcome, I am on facebook, Denis R. Thompson

I made a boob in my earlier post about Sparrow. In fact when Stu Calver and Tony Harding left they were replaced by Steve Stroud and Dave Nevin,

Saw them at the Party in the Park in 1975ish at Crystal Palace. Other bands that appeared were YES and Lindisfarne. Great memories.
