  • This is great, thanks!

  • T Rex was a magical moment in rock music.

  • Great footage!

  • Where is part 2?

  • I still remember seeing Marc Bolan and t rex on top of the pops when i was a little girl of only around 2-3 years old dancing infront of the telly when Marc came on .

  • Where's part two?, Would loved to have the full episodes of this doco.

Thanks Marc for the music, without you we wouldn't have the likes of def lepard and many other bands out there like them.

I wish music was still the same as it was back then these day's can't stand today's music, enough of the lady ga-ga and rap stuff. Bring back Marc Bolan and t -rex and hendrix and all those other talented bands from yesteryear.

  • in his day Mark was the hippest, he was the artists artist.

  • Well, I hear a lot of Donovan influence.

  • i feel a lot more people would just go nuts over Bolan and T-REX if they could only hear more of his stuff, classic rock radio is in a terrible state! even the request hour is clogged with overplayed and tired old ditties.maybe i'm hard to please but you could at least mix it up with a few b-sides and rarities in between! wish i had my own pirate station, then MARC would get his full due.

  • June Bolan seemed like a wonderful, warm lady. Lots of stories to tell... It's kind of a shame she never wrote a memoir.

  • i wonder if the guy with the moustache and two coca cola cans could spell tyrannosaurus rex... or if he ever knew the band existed... or anything

  • @AristYdes LMAO!!!

  • marc bolan = what a visionary

  • Where's Boy George in this Vid?

  • which idiots dont know how to pronounce "tyrannosaurus rex"???????????

  • oh my god thanks for uploading this , my dad recorded it on tape in 1987 trouble cant here a word its saying , Thanks again :)

  • what is the name of the song that starts this? the one with the big heavy riff?

  • Hi. It's 'Children Of The Revolution'.

  • Hi. The song is 'By The Light Of A Magical Moon' from the classic album 'A Beard Of Stars'.

  • is it bRITISH?.....FUCJING IDIOT

  • is this british?

  • Yes I believe it is.

  • i cant believe it wasnt ever big here thats why i wondered

  • Sorry I misunderstood. I thought you meant is the documentary British ! T.Rex were all British until Gloria Jones joined the setup. The band couldn't break America. They had a disastrous tour in the States which didn't help either. Get It On charted quite high (as 'Bang A Gong') but that was all. Marc is better known over in the US these days though.

  • @russsmiff1 That's a really good point that you make. Just why T-Rex never cracked the US is a mystery. Bolan certainly had the stage presence and charisma. However, I lean towards the notion that the Glam Rock thing never really took off in the US in the same way as it did in the UK. Bands such as Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple were blazing a trail, playing their brand of progressive rock which the US youngsters took to in their millions leaving little room for bands such as T-Rex

  • @starryian007 I think the reason T Rex did not make it to the USA is because most ppl in the US are so close minded and dont realize what real good music really is....there are so many artists now that dont do it from the heart...Marc did...most definitely!

  • @starryian007 not necessarily true, everyone I knew had Electric Warrior, it was a staple in any record collection at the time. True in the early 70s Zeppelin just steam rollered in, and that was that, but they and their music was I suppose more bad ass, but we all liked many dif kinds of music then, I think the glam thing turned alot of dudes off, but still loved the music, look at Queen, I just remember Marc as fun, and his music made us smile.

  • he was a true hippy

  • june was pretty...

cool, to actually hear her voice, its remarkable...

eventhough i liked both June & Glo, i feel bad for June too, poor lady, but i bet she pulled out of this strong.

  • Biggest mistake; trading in June for Jones.

  • It was a fatal mistake wasn't it?

  • he should've stayed with Took. my god the first three albums are supurb. they spent too little time on that episode in his life.

  • No chance, Took formed the Pink Faires

  • Cheap and amateurish. Definitely of its time of the 1980s.

  • @AshtonArcher Tut, tut! It's 70's!

  • @matthewmwolff I'm talking about the documentary, not the music. This was made in 1987 by John Bramley who ran the fanclub at the time. Both of the Bramley's documentaries aren't that insightful - this is the better of the two - still not that good though.

  • T. Rex: the number one band!

  • I love love love T Rex!

  • What would Marc be doing now?

  • having wild orgies

  • Trying to teach Mickey Finn to read and write and play in time.

  • Thanks for a real MB fan this is great but still miss him so much.

  • thanx-bring back a lot of memories

  • how fukin hot is the guy at the start haha

  • Werent 60's and 70's fests full of freeaks?!? Music was class though ;-)

  • With all due respects, can you please leave such advertisements/postings of this kind elsewhere on the internet??? For Marc

Bolan HAS NOTHING to do with webcam girls! Can you please have a little more respect for a legend??? Thanks

  • Thanks for posting this.

  • Visconti ruined many a great band. He turned great musicians into pop idiots but Bolan was a different class of pop muscian and I like to think he would have grown into something bigger and better.

  • lay off man, visconti helped alot of people too.

  • Man, I know this is posted so long ago ... but Visconti is a legend, truly.

  • I bought all of his stuff when I was a kid. I have often wondered how he would have matured as a player if he had lived. Would he have vanished, gone into movies and stayed there or grown into something massive in the music biz?

  • "its easier to spell"... i love it!

  • Poor June. I always feel so sorry for her.

  • Intro Shan Bramley from the fanclub... who sat on all the rare recording for years. Loser!

  • isnt this the Dandy In The Underworld documenatry ???

  • Very nice documentary. Thanks!

  • Wow, an actual interview with June, what a treat. Thanks for posting.

  • This is great! Thanks for posting the whole thing without the german overdub.
