In those days they made 50 episodes of "The Ruggles" each season. In those three years...they made 176 episodes. . and they were done "LIVE"..TV was new then and the networks didn't know their audience. They learned that maybe during the summer when family's went on summer vacation maybe the networds should do the same...So they only did 39 shows a year....Then 26..now its about 22. Yeah...things sure have changed...
? ? all that we see is the opening, a short little exchange not even with Charlie Ruggles, and then the closing. was there more to the show!?!
it was a medium-level hit, running three seasons, 1949-1952. in those days, too, there were more episodes made during a three season run than what modern-day viewers may realize. back then, a three season run typically had the same amount of episodes of today's programs that run 4 or 5 seasons. not many episodes exist...wish there were more.
