The true quickest way to find him is use the konami code on the map screen (up up down down left right left right square triangle square triangle). Use this each time you bring up the map.

The quickest way to defeat him is run around so your whole map is filled out and then when he shoots you, look on the map to see where he is. Run after him and attack him and wear the nightvision googles so you can follow his footprints. Keep running after him constantly and curing/eating food and he's dead soon. Its not fun or interesting but then again, I think this boss battle was poorly thought out.

@80smusicfanNO1 why would you say its poorly thought out? i personally love it. For once, a sniper who both utilises terrain, is hard to spot, and isnt just restrained to one zone. It adds challange. Plyus, its more realistic compared to most games portrayal of snipers. He literally waits there, he doesnt move, he waits for you to come to him

You have an sound amplifier to gear his breath. Next time you should use it. Change your camouflage to reach 90%+ and you will defeat it in 10 - 15 minutes

a few tips. if you kill the end by stamina youll get his rifle.2 if you get close to him and surprise him and just aim to his head without shooting he will give you his camo.3 you can use the thermal goggles to track his footsteps and eventually him. I SEE YOURE VERY SLOPPY

ok to find the SVD..before you go to the area where the cutscene takes place. MAKE A LEFT. and take out the guards and in that depot lies the SVD and then after the Cutscene with EVA being tortured. equip the SVD and look for the end. a guard will be pushing him in the warehouse. U HAVE TO BE QUICK
