  • Love the rythm and the lyrics ;-)

  • fabulous scene! love the furniture!!!!

  • I admit it doesn't compare to Hellzapoppin, but it still is cool.

  • WOW! I love this Dance Scene AND song! Thank YOU!

  • I used to dance just like that....but only in my dreams.....

Now that's a dance scene!! FUN!!

  • @BGgunnor

Thank YOU - this is a GREAT dance scene!

  • Me encanta como bailan el ritmo del rock'n roll , me hubiera gusta do vivir en esa epoca..

  • They just don't make furniture like they used to.

  • @bumperu Ill say....

  • I love early rock'n'roll movies and the music is usually great. But this is possibly the worst song I ever heard in my life, and certainly the one with the most asinine lyrics.

  • @aldiboronti But its got rythm!!! The lyrics dont matter, its a dance song, not a love song /ballad! :-)

  • Uy, que ese comentario no era para este video... perdón.

  • vaya mierdaaa...

  • wow those hep katz

  • Hilarous and confusing feel here visually: the taboo "breaking the rules" them about dancing on the furniture (wow! rebels, etc.) though surreal that it is obviously a formally choreographed dance scene on the furniture. Choreographed spontaneity: something really American about this. "Rebels, learn! Play it safe when breaking the rules! Rebel professionally! Take the time to choreograph your rebellion!"

  • RongWrong: It's a clip from a silly Rock n Roll movie from the 50's... Of course the dancing is choreographed! It was scripted, directed and shot in scenes. And it seems "really American" because IT IS. Just simple 1950's Rock n Roll entertainment full of music and dancing. It wasn't supposed to be a primer on teen delinquency. Loosen up, Daddy-O.. God, you MUST be British...

  • thats ok if RongWrong is a Brit.....they gave us the Beatles and to me that makes Brits at the top of the "cool-ness" scale, LOL

  • Yup, The Beatles are cool as heck. But they were, (like most British Invasion bands of the time), just playing American Rock n' Roll and Blues music. My comment to RongWrong was in regards to his "stick up the butt", pragmatic political analysis of a cool little R n' R movie. So, choreographed spontaneity is "really American"? I wonder if RongWrong saw "A Hard Day's Night" or "Help!" ha ha......

  • to: opd717opd...in the very beginning they (the beatles)were playing very basic stuff based on American R&R...but that quickly changed once the hippy drug era started.....day in a life, something, I am the walrus, within you without you, the inner light, these were definately not traditional american 12 bar blues

  • inkey2: I agree with you. The Beatles transcended and changed the face of music as we knew it at that time. It was an amazing period... From greasers to gurus... Psychedelic.

  • LOL.....thats pretty good...."from greasers to gurus"

  • I can write for you any sheet music

  • Arnie Haines couldn't mime to save his life.

  • Could someone please upload a video of Dave Appell & The Applejacks performing in this movie?

  • The singer is Alan Dale (not Arnie Haines).

    For info about him google

    'Alan Dale prince of baritones'.

  • I am more than surprised that the song "Don't knock the Rock" doesn't feature anywhere on youtube!!!..(unless i just can't find it)..it's one of my favourites.

  • GREAT!!!! thanks for this great footage from a great movie (are the Comets jitterbugging in this scene?)
