He thinks only Bulgarian version rocks and everything else sucks. And if you don't think so and are brave enough to voice your opinion, you're lying according to him. So you really don't need to protect him. Protect me instead because I'm the victim here. I have been fighting with him for 3 years. He's just so damn proud.

I know we imagine a girly voice for a sixteen-tear-old girl, but Ariel has an amazing voice and that makes these mature voices for her. And, for example, Kiara was 18 when she did it. She was just 2 years older than Ariel, so why couldn't Ariel have this voice too??

you're right ^^ I think that Kiara's version is the best one, she sounds like a young girl with a mature voice...What I meant is that ariel should be voiced by actual young girls,like Kiara, because you can always hear the difference between a young girl with a mature voice and an older woman with a mature voice...but all of these singers are great, of course ^^

I think that mature voices better fits to Ariel. Ariel is young girl, but she is strong and brave, so mature voice very fits to her strong character ! Young and sweet voices doesn't fit to brave girl, like Ariel...

Lets see, Ariel should have a young, sweet, deep and strong voice. I agree with MandyMarieB. Mature Ariels are not right. Never mind how good of a singers they are. Their voices are ruinnig the song. I'll probably receive a shock if I hear a 16-year old girl sounding like a 40-year old like Johanna Nurmimaa. Kiara Sasso and Claire Guyot were pretty good.

I agree with IFA. I'm also pretty upset with Dommonn for always bringing up Johanna and mocking her. Hey, you're not from Finland. Why you are so concern about Finnish Ariel? You probably don't know but in Finland opera is pretty normal in every way. Perhaps it is not in your country but in here it is so normal that even Finnish Ariel can have that kind of voice. It's important to us! Besides, she can't sound 40 because it's been 20 years and today she's about 45-47. Please, just let it be!

It's not impossible to girl have that kind of voice (at least not in here). I'm too studying musical arts as my hobby and even though I'm just 16 myself, my voice sounds pretty opera. It's called TRAINING, ya know? It's not old, it's art and gift! And redub was only made because the lyrics didn't match the original. Johanna was asked to reprise role as Ariel in '98 redub but turned it down due to busy schedule! This is official information, not fanmade gossip.

Because Disney hires the best to play the role. Every country sends a small sample of actor/actress voice and US Disney will tell if it was good enough. Apparently in all these countries (and some others as well) there wasn't qualified than these. But as I said; It is not written in the Bible that a 16-year-old must have a pop star voice. That's why I like Johanna Nurmimaa the best.
