  • Where did you get your base wig?

  • @MsAnimeFan620 = It is actually one whole wig + a partial wig that was sewn together - but both are Punky wigs by New Look - which you can find just about everywhere that sells wigs...ebay, cosplaycom, etc. The color is the option that has the black base and red tips, although, the final wig we did here has additional black hand-dyed in to be solidly dark in the final product. (The black base is a good start, but extra coloring is needed to get it that intense.)

  • how'd you make the widows peak?

  • @EmoAngie85 = It's actually a shaped section cut from another Punky wig, and the whole segment was then hand-sewn onto the front of the main base wig's hairline...then when spiking, the strands from both were merged seamlessly. There is a lot of fluff in the base of these wigs, so it's very possible to successfully tack on extra extensions like that.

  • And how many cost it?

  • @Billkaulitzdouble = Honestly not sure how much this particular one went for. All of our wigs either have so many custom options, or different time frames and/or simply go via auction. I don't think an Axel wig has ever gone less than 175, though.

  • You sell this?

  • @TifaMacky This wig here was actually already sold (it was a custom commission) and this video is just for our portfolio of past work.

  • Loving the serious definition of the spikes.

  • this is great! Could you post the link to the original base wig? I can't seem to find any punky's in that gradation :/

  • @LAPArchichi I can't post links in replies for some reason, but it is a normal New Look brand Punky wig in color "1B/RedTL" (off-black roots with red tips) - which you should be able to find on cosplay(dot)com, eBay or anywhere else that carries New Look. (Also, not shown in the process photos here is that after the spikes were set, black acrylic ink was applied to the roots to add extra darkness to the base of the spikes like his hair is.)
