Oh! How I loved Dr. Kicklighter's classes! What a wonderful teacher & person! I hope he will continue to inspire and teach at Auburn for many years to come. His fellow University of the South Alumnus, Sam Moss, was my college advisor at Darlington School. I am so lucky that my academic paths led me to both of those great men-who continue to enrich and improve lives of so many students!
Took Dr. Kicklighter's History Classes in 1999, 2000, and 2001. Best professor at Auburn. Oh, and I was majoring in Computer Science, not History. He was that good! War Eagle!
@aubrownds1 Oh, how I AGREE! He would time his lectures to end on a cliff hanger on Friday at the bell. He would assume the same stance on Monday at the beginning bell and pick up right where he left off. He was a thrill and a great teacher. His tests were hard...very hard, but it was a challenge for which he prepared us well. Thank you so much for your dedication, Dr. Kicklighter.
Best professor I have ever had. Dr. Kicklighter made me want to go further with my history degree. I'm in law school now, but I envy him and his ability to not only learn and study history so well, but also make it so entertaining and alive for an audience as he did... to the point that I could not take his courses because they were full, with mostly non-history majors, who so enjoyed him they took his courses as electives. . . and his tests were NOT easy
