this was way back before she had ANY training, and for most 12 year olds (grade 6 elementary in N.A.), hitting the notes with zero training is decent. I'd like to hear how koharu sings this with her alto range instead of kirarin voice though..

The name "Miracle" doesn't automatically mean she is a great singer. You can look at the given name negatively or positively. Koha did surpassed many expectations. First off, selling over 100,000 record all by herself. She has become a selling power within Hello!Project. That alone is a great achievement already. Like I said, don't take the nickname seriously and literally.
Come on, you can't be so harsh on her. This was just the beginning for Koharu. Tsunku made her a better singer. She has improved A LOT since her audition, so she deserves some credit. Nono sang like her in the beginning, but after a couple of years, you saw how Nono became such a wonderful singer. Just give Koharu a couple years and she'll be great! Ganbare, Koharu!!!
It would've would've sounded better if she didn't sing through her teeth. If you haven't noticed, she had her teeth clenched together while singing, probably due to nervouness.
But she's gotten a lot better. ^^ She still sometimes sings poorly (like she's nervous or overenthusiastc or just not focusing properly), but when she DOES sing well she sounds nice. ^^
Well, this does kind of like she's doing it in her room with the instrumental version and singing to it. If you compare it to the others that were done in the studio it's kind of unfair to judge it like that.
