Hm, I sort of like how the story looks to be, but mechanics-wise I'm not sold. The cover system - what there is to see - looks very used, with a standard waist-high, shoot-over-the-edge, Gears look to it. From other previews I've seen, the sand is supposed to play a role in combat, but from what they show it seems to be more of a "conveniently placed explosive barrel" thing than a dynamic mechanic. Not interested until something REALLY convincing comes along.

I fail to see how they ripped from Uncharted 3, especially considering Uncharted 2 came out in 2009 and Uncharted 3 wasn't revealed until December of 2010.

Actually, no. It's almost actually the exact opposite. In fact, the whole point is to not be overly pig headed and patriotic. It's a nice breath of fresh air. Battlefield had a similar thing going on... Not that you payed attention or played it. It doesn't seem like you've been paying attention recently.
