@metalmonkey666 Only didnt turn the fans against each other, the poser fans are just too dumb to realise that if the misfits would have kept on going with the same danzig sound it would have eventually got boring just like alot of other bands who stuck with the same sound. Danzig era was awesome, but lets face it danzig is a prick who was to lazy to evolve the sound, he was willing to end the misfits and let down all the fans who wanted new material.

@killz4thrillz87 too lazy to evolve? glenn wanted to evolve musically, the rest of band didn't (or couldn't). that's why he formed samhain. he wrote most of the songs on initium while still in the misfits but felt the they were too complex for jerry and doyle. the new misfits haven't evolved at all, in fact the lyrics are a lot simpler than danzig's. as far as fans wanting new material, remember most of the misfits' music (including earth ad) was released after they disbanded in 1983.

@LloydSmithKFC Danzig owned the misfits name when he left it to die, if he really wanted to change the music and keep misfits fans happy he would keep the misfits name and found new members, he is a quitter and decided to go all wanna-be satanist. If it wasnt for Only the misfits would have died and the Graves era would have never existed, and lets all be honest the Graves era was amazing and you cant evolve the misfits much more than the Graves era. Only just wants to keep fans happy.

@killz4thrillz87 just curious, how old were you when jerry reformed the misfits? sometimes it sucks when bands split up, but i'd rather a band break up while they were still good then stay around forever and put out weak records (like metallica for example). american psycho was a good album (not as good as the old stuff IMO) but the only thing evolved about the graves era was the production.

@LloydSmithKFC In 95 i was 20-21, and as for you're comment on bands releasing weak albums, you only look at it that way because of the high expectations that come with a band name like metallica or the misfits, you and i both know that the misfits and metallica's new music is STILL better than most of the new popular music on the charts today, more than the production changed during the graves era, the sound was more "metal" sounding and lyrical contruction was far different.

This album was so so, worth the 10$ best buy charged me for it, if i have one complaint about it, its that the guitar doesnt have enough balls to it, not hard hitting enough, dez is a nice guy and all, meet him in detroit but i think it would be better if jerry dumped dez and went with someone else. bringing in zoli on vocals would be an upgrade too.misfits need to be a 4 piece band

For all the people who hate Jerry Only cuz you feel he has commercialized the band and is selling it out and ruining the name, and you may or not be right, but do know that to get the rights to use the misfits name and logo Jerry has to pay Danzig a percent of what he(jerry) makes of it. As per their out of court agreement. My point is to be consistant with your opinion of jerry you must also have total hate and anger at Danzig as well, they (jerry and danzig) are doing it together.

I listened to the new album twice, and I just can't get into it. Jerry's not a bad singer, but it sounds like he's trying way too hard. Also, I found most of the lyrics cringe-inducing. The only song I liked was 'Land Of The Dead'. You'd think after 12 years since their last album (not including the 50's cover album), Jerry could've written better songs than 'Where Do They Go?', 'Monkey Paw' and 'Dark Shadows'.

It is auto-tuned.... slightly. You can auto-tune a little with out it sounding like t-pain. I have something on my laptop that can auto tune and I was playing around with it. this is either auto-tune or too much reverb. I think its both. Still pretty cool though.

@metalmonkey666 I don't think you know what auto-tune is, it's not just T-Pain, it's pitch correction software, its effect can be more subtle. There's definitely some vocal effects on this recording, if not auto-tune, there's probably some pitch correction to some degree.
