is it ok to stack your amps like that on the side? because i've had considered doeing something like that but i figured the heat couldn't escape very well in this set up.
i could sit for hours just listening to him talk. i think he is the greatest guitarist ever. just look at all hes done AND he's taught so many other legends. so if you hate joe, but you like one of his students, your a hipacrit (i suk at spelling sorry)
Satch IMO is the best out there.Compare to Paul Gilbert,Yngwie Malmsteen,Steve Vai etc....The fact that Satch's songs have stories and expressions behind each one makes his songs more appreciated rather than just pure shred and effects the whole time.
@1JAT1 Are you one of those people that thinks that music notation is the only way to read music? Tab predates music notation, also, I'm pretty sure that Joe probably doesn't care that you are using tab or notation...
@lamboguitarmadas tabs do not predate musical notation.. predate means older. postdate would be the correct word. musical notation was around hundreds of years before tabs. i dont see any lute tabs from the renaissance around. but there are countless scores of traditional lute songs from that era.
Actually lute tabs were popular in the middle ages and renaissance. Each culture had their own. French, Spanish, German, Italian, with minor differences but still very similar to what we use now (except the German).
They came into popularity because most lute players were bards and muses and had little to no training in music reading.
I suggest you do some more research on the subject if it interests you.
@iTzNoxy I suggest you do even more research of your own because standard notation still predates tablature. and the renaissance tablature i said you dont see is different than fretted tablature. its called neapolitan tabs which were in use in italy during the renaissance, the only standard tablature in use was on the organs. lute tabs were far different than todays. the neapolitan lute tabs didnt have fret numbers because the lutes had no frets you still had to remember the notes
(cont.) and it wasnt until the fretted lute became popular because it make it easy to fret a note and have the fretted tabs available. before the fretted lute you had to know your basic theory of which notes make up chords and all the notes throughout the neck because neapolitan tabs were made for fretless. bards and untalented muses came into play during the period of fretted lute and fretted tabs. im well aware of what i said and also am well aware you need to study more.
@iTzNoxy and to rub in that you are still wrong ill hyperlink you to an authentic italian renaissance neapolitan tab where theres NOT A SINGLE fret number. musescore. org/sites/musescore. org/files/TAB_Samples . png
that is the tablature used for lutes which predates the tablature you tried mumbling your dumbass incoherent babble about. my main point was that standard notation predates it and im right. a fretted lute didnt appear until the 1600s. then number tabs emerged. dumbshit
@iTzNoxy I read all that stuff and you are pretty wrong. out of all the things listed that justin guy raped you with his knowledge, ive played lutes for 15 years now and you are close to the ballpark on correct info but you lack big loopholes. his is refined and spot on correct. neopolitan tabs are circa early 1400's hundreds of years before fretted 'tabulature' the latin word for it....

WTF?? What's he doing?? This shit is as basic as it gets, I thought he was way beyond this.
His licks sound sterile compared to Angus Young, Jimmy Page, Joe Bonamassa etc Maybe he should start using Gibson's, do away with all the effects and shit, and get a nice vintage Marshall Tube amp.
@henryjimmix Gibsons are not his style... I would choose an Ibanez over a Gibson any day... nothing wrong with a Gibson and Marshall (classic combination) but its not right for his style of playing at all...
wow u guys are thinking about things way too much! he shaved his head cos he was loosing his hair, he's tired because hes a hard-working, professional musician, not cos of cancer or cos he wants to give up music! its satch he will do music for aslong as his body allows him to!

He's Good but not expressive enough compared to Vai.. That's my opinion.. I know that he teaches vai but for me, Vai expresses his music more than Satriani..
@IBZ93GRG250P vai is really good. I really like him but I've never been able to close my eyes and find meanings. except tender surrender. Vai is really good he's a better showman than satriani but i like satch music better.
you can find emotions and 'name' the song and it would be so close to the original name of the song.
@edominant7add9 comparing them is not appropriate. steve vai was joe's student. everybody's goal is to shine. i'm sure joe is so happy of what steve vai have gone though.
@edominant7add9 Dude , seriously where have u been . Vais solos having TONS of meaning you just need to listen properly . Listen to Windows To The Soul , Ladies Nite In Buffalo by David Lee Roth , Whispering A Prayer , Sisters , Hand On Heart , Without me , Warm regards , Touching Tongues , Lotus Feet , For The Love Of God , Gentle Ways etc i could just go on for years
@edominant7add9 I know what you mean !!! I once put on a Joe Satriani CD for my friend.......after 2 mins of listening, he said "dude....this guitar player is Crying".......can you guess what song it was ??? lol :)
Because he does not want to concentrate him self on anything except music.Look and attitude takes a time,so he cuts hair and does not bother looking any better than he is naturally is.He usually wears black clothes, because it is simplest way and random. And yet, than longer hair you have than more stressful you are.
He doesnt have cancer, where did you hear that? dont start bad rumors...
SAtch works very hard, maybe hes tired from travelin the globe, workin on his music, new chickenfoot, and all the other projects hes doing...no time for snowboarding!!! which he likes to do..
