This level doesn't require skill, it requires a good camera. Which it doesn't have.

The Modern version of this can LET you boost through, but it's up to the player to do so. Just like how I CAN decide to spam the spindash over and over and jump a few times here, but I choose not to.

I came to this video to see Shadow in Green Hill, regardless of how much I like or dislike the level itself.

You should watch the CNET interview on Generations, you'll see the true brilliance. While Modern Green Hill lets you boost 'til the level ends, the next levels DEMAND more and more skill.

Sort of like how Sonic 1 did.

@KnucklesARouge Oh lol. Basically you play two Story Modes, Dark and Hero. On each scene (30), you have five missions (5), each giving you an emblem for completion. Each character has an emblem if you complete all missions with A rank (half impossible). You have three Kart Races to beat (each supplies you with an emblem) and three Chao Karate emblems followed by I think seven Chao Race Emblems. There is a Final Story in which you get another two (I think) emblems. So yeah its really hard.

@saturnurameshi SEGA didn't get a chance to get this out in time. As a result this stage has to be accessed via code in order to play. The japanese version of this has the actual stage because SEGA got the japanese version released earlier than the amarican version.

@Appaluj Well... Sonic 1-3&K actually had two entirely different stories in the US and Japan. Sonic Adventure was the first point in which the Japanese storyline was shoved down our throat. And then, they began their confusing constant shift from US to Japanese to comic book storylines (in the same game) until we had 06, Sonic 4, and all the weird spinoffs and the stupid Panzer Dragoon clone that was the Secret Rings.

@retrozim first you need to know how to pirate dc games with disc juggler. after you know that you have to download a code breaker rom (dont worry its free) and you burn it and put it in the dc and put in 1 memory card that you want the codes to be on. then you click play game then you put in the other memory card (if it has the saves for the game you hacked) and the other game and you hacked the game :D i will probebly make a video making this sound a little less complicated.

To get the level, you need 180 "A RANKED" emblems (Gamecube) and only sonic can play it. You need a code to get shadow in. It would be cool finding the master emeralds in this place though... I would tell you the codes, but I don't know them, and I don't have this stage either. But I bet a good friend named "Google" can tell you the codes.

If your too lazy to get all 180 emblems, A-ranked, then you can always use an "Action Replay"
