  • Unfortunately he's in jail now for stalking and assaulting his ex-wife.

  • Verstappen And Minard THE BOSS!

  • He can speak English really well.

  • Shame Verstappen was never able to race in a good F1 car.

  • @Gigidag77 what about Benetton ?

  • @Gigidag77 Excuse me?!? In 1994, he drove the same car Schumacher won the Championship with, and he only got one podium finish in Hungary... Verstappen was a good number 2 driver, but never a world champion to be...

  • Thumbs up if you want that Minardi come back in F1!

  • when F1 lost Minardi -> fuck F1

  • If Jos had done more with the B194 than he did, he could have had a much better career. Yes, he was inexperienced. True, he had setbacks like the pit fire at Hockenheim. But still, he could have finished in the top six more often than he did. It doesn't take much to lose Briatore's interest, after all.

  • @azapro911,

True, Trulli managed to win at Monaco. And look what that got him, sacked before the end of the season and replaced by Jacques Villeneuve.

That's like chopping someone's dick off and shoving it up their ass.

  • @Cain353 The key difference is that Verstappen's dismissal was purely about performance. Trulli's was about refusing to let Briatore control him more than he already was as his manager and team principal. Still, at least Trulli is welcome in F1 these days, unlike some people...

  • Is that true??? I can't remember a Minardi on pole!!!

  • Jos Verstappen is a hero!

    Proud to be Ducth!

  • Minardi on pole, I don't remeber this. :D

  • @DeathAndMilkVideos at friday

  • Jos wasn't half bad

  • Wouldn't it have been great if that was the proper qualifying...

  • He did that with a minardi... just wow

  • @filh0daputa it was after rain

  • He was a great driver but he never had good car...

  • @M3its1 Yeah I have a book where they have like 50 significant driver profiles and his is one of them

  • @M3its1 he had the B194 same as schumacher!!

  • @dukeofstradone Yes, but Schumacher had a driving style completely different to all his teammates. The car was built around him in a way that it was almost completely undriveable for his teammates.

  • JOS THE BOSS

  • JOS DE BOSS

  • JOS DE BOSS

  • If only that was Second Qualifying.

  • i think that jos would have bin a lot better on the track if he was given a chance with a bigger and better team. still a good driver though

  • verstappen didn't made the pole in magny cours 2003.. noobs

  • Minardi For Ever!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @pand1s Who cares about Minardi?

  • @Tomasch People who have followed F1 since the 80's and the 90's.

  • M. Schumacher said it perfectly when talking about J. Verstappen: "Great driver, bad management".

  • Schumi hit the nail on the head.

Too bad his own head isn't nailed on that perfectly anymore. I would have loved to see his comeback in F1 in Valencia. Shame his neck is not up to the job at the moment.

  • @oerokawami well he's back in f1 for 2010!!!!!

  • Jos the boss.. Nice to see this again. Too bad Jos never had a chance in a good team..

And now his career is over, thanks Rothengather for demanding a high stupid salery...

  • well, 1994 he drove a Benetton. But indeed, it was his rookie-year i think, and apart from this the car was build for Schumi.. and Jos were not the only one, who didn't come around with those Schumi-cars.. also did berger, alesi (the 96 benetton) and irvine.

  • jos the boss is fighter driver

  • Jos Verstappen, one of those typical F1 drivers who are talented but never made a major breakthrough because they always drove for minor teams. Benetton was an exception but with Schumi as his teammate, sheer madness.

Still, massive respect for Jos The Boss !!

  • sill tho well done to him it just proves that ultimatly Minardi did have the pace just the unreliabltly..

  • i remember this

  • This wasn't a pole... In 2003 they did the stupid system where it was one lap qualifying and your one lap would decide your grid position. To stop all the little Teams complaining about the Ferraris and McLarens getting the best slots they did this stupid Friday thing which decided when every car went out on the circuit. This then confirmed that Verstappen would be last out for Saturday Qualifying. Stupid session though, rain and then sun soon after, well done to Jos however!!!

  • i remember this, it made me smile then and still does now :)

  • one time he was deserved third!! (Hungaroroing)

  • two times.he was 3rd at the next race at Spa,after Schumacher's disqualifying

  • Great thanks!

  • jos the boss, jos the boss, trallallalllaaaa sei un mito!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This must have been big for him cuz he's known not to be a good qualifier

  • Jack plooij erbij , (dat blijf ik toch wel maf vinden dat iedereen dan zegt "en we zijn zo'n klein landje")

  • the commentator is a typical commentator-very animated lol

  • very good driver , i always liked him

to bad he never had the chance to drive in one of the major teams in formula one

  • Well said about him not getting the chance with a big team. Yes you can say that you've gotta make your own luck, but there are several guys who could really drive that didn't get it. For a hockey fan its like some of the greats who didn't win the stanley cup.

  • He was lucky to be the last of the Championship at that time, lol, for this permitted him to be the last to go in the prequalifying session, on a drying track, with the best cars having driven on a wet track. On a dry track for everybody, his Minardi wouldn't have allowed him to be P1.

I liked Verstappen when he was in F1, a nice driver.

  • good driver,bad cars(simtek,arrows,tyrrell minardi)

  • Except for the 1994 WCC Benetton...

  • His car was a beta version..

He never got a really fair chance, except for his Hongaroring race where the team give him that extra final lap.

  • Verstappen was at Steward ford too in 1998 and it wasnt a bad team

  • Steward certanly was a bad team...

  • In 1997 they were ok but very unreliable, 1998 they were just shite and in 1999 they were the fifth best team (a pretty good effort!)

  • in 1999 Stewart was the best of the rest !

They manage to win race only after 3 years and where top team in every race of 99. Most of teams never made to podium. Look at Red Bull or BMW ... how long they waited for win.

You dont know nothing about F1.

  • JOS THE BOSS FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!

  • BMW Sauber only took three years aswell. What are you on about?

  • Wow some of you haven't been watching Formula 1 long. At one point back in the late 90's, Jos Verstappen had the biggest online fan club in the world. If you live in Holland, you're a fan of Jos 'The Boss'. He indeed had and to a point still does have one of the biggest fan followings of any athlete in the world.

  • Jos = The Boss!!!!!!

  • like the way the mechanics reacted after each sector ha=]

  • When David Beckham heard that apparently he wanted to find out what else was bigger. He was pissed when he found out that the Gabber/Hardcore scene was bigger than him in holland.

  • :D lol

  • Well, don't know if you are Dutch but Jos Verstappen indeed is bigger then Beckham here. (in Holland)

  • Actually......Jos Verstappen still to this day has the largest fanclub of any individual sportsman worldwide

  • I dont know about that..

  • That's why I am telling you

  • you said "he still has one of the biggest fan followings of any athlete in the world."

That is simply not true. You may like to think he has - but he hasn't. Yes, he has a disproportionate number of fans considering the amount of talent he has, but this is not the same thing as having one of the biggest fan followings in the world. This is just a myth.

Give me one statistic that proves this point.

  • He is
