Actually the first Metal Gear was a pc platform then moved to a Nintendo family computer then the NES. Then the next one was released for the NES. So really it is "for" PC or Nintendo. That's when it became popular.

The mgs franchise was never published by Sony, but for Konami. Metal gear was never a slave to any platform. Even mg game for msx. Guess what, msx was made by MICROSOFT. So do your fucking homework all you butt hurt fanboys. mg snakes revenge. was for NES. mg2 was for msx. Mgs1 was for ps, gba, and pc. mgs ghost babel was for cell phones. mgs substance for xbox and ps2. There is more than that to.

This trailer is bloody amazing. MSG4 was and still is the best of the series. I'm actually looking forward to 'rising'. But since it's with xbox as well. It's probably going to be ok. If they connect this with ps3 move somehow then it will be amazing.

Actually the first Metal Gear was a pc platform then moved to a Nintendo family computer then the NES. Then the next one was released for the NES. So really it is "for" PC or Nintendo. That's when it became popular.
They made sequels for Playstation, Nintendo, and yes even Xbox.

Lamebox 360,doesn't deserve metal gear solid because when mgs rising comes out, its probably going to have more than one disc in order to play the game while the ps3 will only have one blu-ray disc to play the game!! So, while xbox 360 owners play mgs rising, Otacon going to say, "Hold it Xbox 360 owner, time to change the disc! Mind as well go to ps3 because its better than any other console!!"

@PinoyGamers You're acting as if mgs belongs to sony. It isn't. mg was on the nes, mg2 was on msx or something like that. MGS 1 twin snake was for gamecube, mgs 2 substance was for xbox also and a new game called mgs snaker 3d or something is for nintendo ds in 3d. So you are terribly wrong about it being for sony. Ps3 was the only hardware that could hold mgs4. There was a game for the cell phone and the iphone.

Ugh, >.< please don't call it 5. It's a depressing enough thought to consider this the next title in the series let alone an advancement in plot. They should have learned their lesson with MGS2. The only people who like Raiden watch too much anime. After Peacewalker I would like to see another plot with Big Boss or a remake of the original Metal Gears *which I am blindly looking forward to* =)
