True.Syrian special forces were attacking.when they broke the lines and entered the FREE REGIONS their dogs followed(Druze, Awmieh,HK, Hizballah)..Few officers had betrayed GMA & fled the night before, The LF's made an artillary barrage to split the army in two main areas Dekweneh and Badaro to make it easy for the Syrians to go in. with all that, the syrians lost 900 men (if we can call them men) and 250 from our troops (more than half were killed after the battle)

He rejected the plan to let Syria take control. The foreign powers were happy to do this. For another 15 years, until the US foreign policy changed and they all decided to free Lebanon. I cannot fault him for rejecting their sellout of Lebanon. All Lebanese leaders ganged up on him and got rid of him with Syrian power. Then they all start crying because the Syrians are killing & jailing them. The only solution that Aoun was given allowed the Syrians to stay and that was the solution he rejected.
