  • F-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c job with this footage. This will please all hardcore fans of he movie and also people that are fans of New York. Very cool, thanks.

  • Im from Brooklyn myself. and not tobe negative or anything but part of that old image showed the cylone roller coaster in the background. compared to the new image it was'nt there, was the cylone moved from that spot in the early 80's? to somewhere else.

  • wow

  • @mixali Yea the BIG CI was great but now all the yuppies are taking over so you can kiss it good bye people with money have no respect they are going to tear it down and build condos and all of this yuppie crap.

  • que gran trabajo tio ;)

  • my best friend dad was a riff hes the second close up when the riffs are in the turf in the building thing he still has his uniform thing they wore

  • Where is The Bronx location?

    I want to go there.

  • @classicrock64

    Van Cortland Park, northern Bx.

  • @classicrock64 in New York

  • @classicrock64 The gang meeting was supposed to have taken place at Van Cortland Park in The Bronx. But it was actually filmed at Riverside Park in Manhattan. The fight scene with the Furies was also filmed there.

  • Thank you for making this. :)

  • I want to Visit Coney Island someday! Well, I would love to visit New York all together. I've always wanted to visit the East Coast.

  • Thanks to all for the wonderful comments. It makes the hard work that was done in this documentary worth it. Thanks again and dont forget to check out the remaining 3 parts to this.

  • my father was in the big meeting he was a eliminator

  • @rarc13 yeah same my dad was the white guy in the black tank top in the intro in the subway station. he told me alot of his friends from his neighborhood were in it

  • ur a fucking legend

  • which city is this

  • Trust me, Coney Island is nothing like it use to be years ago during this time period. Astroland? Pft. Forget about it. That Amusemnt park is being replaced with Condos I think. They already started building. I've was born and raised in Coney Island, I haven't been there in three years but from what I last saw and what my friends telling me; C.I is not like it use to be. Don't even bother trying to come to NY to come on the rides or see the Warriors hangout. All of that is being torned, son. Smh

  • @DaTribute09 Yes it is they are trying to turn it into disneyland damn, these days sucks seriously coney is not what it use to be.

  • @DaTribute09 dude that is so sad how can they do that and replace it with condos its like taking guns away from our troops fighting in iraq

  • its 2 cool i feel iam the warrriors because of vedios

  • they were real.

  • great fuckin stuff here i wish that was a special feature on my dvd

  • The Warriors Will Live Forever 1 Wuestion Were They Real??

  • whats the song at the beggining?

  • Brilliant! Give yourself a pat on the back!! Cheers...

  • what is the name of the song?

  • Do anyone know the name of the song in the beginning of this video?

  • do you guys know whats the name of the song in the ver begining of this video?

  • Hey do you guys know the name of the music in the very beginning? 0:00 to 0:30. i really like the beat of the song.

  • Ah this is very good. Thanks

  • dude i wish i was there

  • what is the name of the park

  • Very nice job, dude!!!! We loved it!

  • i can assure that, that world was very real and even more weapons based during the 60s 70s 80s and 90s, newyork is a dangerous place and movies like the warriors highlight that

  • There is a gang inspired vy the warriors its C.I.W coney island warriors and they got alliance with L.R.Z 3xA in brooklyn my bro is in it [L.R.Z]

  • they woar a real gang and they the bloods now lol

  • um were is it wana go o it buy some flash bitch lol lov it u luky bitch u not a bitch

  • omg so cool man but wat happen to the warriors hide out is it still there???? hey bro send a message back bro 1taeshaun

  • shit man this is is good but ther was 100 of gangs in nwe york 1979 but no one calld the worriers i think but still awsome job

  • There were a lot of gangs through history so the odds that one of them was called THE WARRIORS is pretty good but NO these guys were not based on a real gang. It was based on a book that was based on a historic event.

  • man..you did an awesome job here... yeah!!!

  • Thanks for uploading , i may even take a run down those steps with the furries behind me lol ( in my mind )

  • Thank you for the video.

I really appreciate how New York has kept so much of its past structures alive.

Here in Los Angeles we have no such sense, we tear eveyrthing down after a few decades. There is hardly any history left here.

  • Very cool!

  • Noo god no

  • Yep the guy who played Rembrandt he died of AIDS.

  • when did he die?

  • 1986

  • yeah it was pretty obvious in the movie that he was gay.

  • thank god i live in new york (queens)

  • this is an awsome movie and game

  • so basicly new york and coney island

  • what park was the conclave in?

  • The building with the "Warriors" tag was torn down years ago. It was a bath house.

  • @TannerBoyle1967 They did erase the WARRIORS logo a few years before they tore it down. It was on there until the late 80's though.

  • i just get tight every time i remember that coney island is goin 2 be torn down. thoses white bastards!

  • This makes me wonder how many New Yorkers know of this movie, or have forgotten it since its old an about gangs. For some reason I almost cried around the end. I'm 14 and never experienced the 70's, but since I'm a big fan of hip-hop I always wonder about 70's New York, were it all started. Hell even the gangs werer better then, insead of just blasting their rivals, they had truces, structure, and actually brawled. I hope someone comes up with a time machine before I die

  • We have a lot in common, I'm 16 and wasn't able to experience one of the coolest times in history. During the 70's, everything was relaxed and like "boys will be boys", but now, if you draw a gun in a text book, you are a legal sociopath. BS.

Also, I would go back in time just to be apart of a gang when it actually meant something: protecting your turf, brotherhood, brawlin, no guns, just whatever you could find. Beautiful, man I would kill to be a part of the Warriors if they were real.

  • hey i the wondre whell!!

  • cool i would like to see the warriors location in real life :p

  • damn! i was really hoping to see the warriors hang out [in the beggining of video] when i went over there to coney in a couple weeks.

  • Absolutely fantastic, Great stuff Bringing back many memories of this timeless classic

  • In Real life I Met all of the warriors

  • Were did you meet them?

  • I was just there a week ago. i got a bunch of pics. im a huge fan too. went to many places where the film was shot. coney island looks a little cleaner now. sad to say there is nothing about the warriors there. great memories though. RESPECT THE WARRIORS!

  • how do you get to that place where the big meeting was?

  • I believe that was shot in riverside park go there sometime ask someone hey do you know the warriors if they say yes say can you tell me where the conclave arena is I want some photos

somthing like that anyway but yeah they said it was shot in riverside park

  • Absolutely great!

  • Yeah instead of gangs the boardwalk is filled with guidos and ginnys now.

  • its looks different without all the gangs there

  • nice

  • this is really cool. i always wanted to see how the areas looked now. great vid.
