Ya and tenkaichi 2 is the same as the first 1 and tenkaichi 3 is also the same as the 1 and 2nd one but with each game they increase the characters. With each budokai there was more diveristy in the fighting style and everyone actually played differently not like crappy tenkaichi...

Tenkaichi was horrible. No real depth to it.

Budokai 3 had REAL combos. Burst Limit has Budokai 3's gameplay style, but of corse have added to combos & attacks.

You mean [] [] [] []? X X X X would be a bunch of dashing. All Tenkaichi is, WITH EACH character is [] [] [] ^, ^, ^, X, [], ^. Sure you can mix up when you smash them away, and which punch you can hold, but that's not TRUELY a different combo. In the end, it's just the same repetive stuff. Oh and as for the Blast 2 thingers... (L2 + o) Those ARE different for characters... but like 30 characters have the same one. So again... all the same.

Yeah. They are both quite awesome. ^.^ One thing that disapointed me about Tenkaichi 3 was the dodging thing... I forget how it's done now, haven't played Tenkaichi 3 in awhile, but I thought it would be like Budokai 3's dodging, where you tap X for every punch, but in Budokai 3 it made the opponent do their entire basic combo, and your chracter would do a counter hit. It looked cool though. =P

I am not sure. They are going to be total 50 characters and until cell saga they have announced 22 characters so there is a high possibility to include buu saga! Yeah!=)

well the graphics are way better than tenkaichi 3, the cutscenes are beautiful. the story mode wont be as half assed as tenkaichi 3 was! I mean they did alot to make this game look so gorgeous! Of course gameplay is not gonna be as true to the dbz universe as tenkaichi is but hey it looks fantastic! I like Tenkaichi series better though. And because this game isnt coming out for wii....

Atari didn't make any of them, but released all of them under it's name. DIMPS made Budokai 1-3 and some other company did the Tenkaichi series. This game is being made by DIMPS, so I'd expect the gameplay to be like Budokai 3 but slightly improved.
