  • After Americans teach Japanese the English language, All Americans will be kicked out. :D

  • Don't run on pedestrian way. You must pay a fine.

  • Nice little vid. Reminds me of my life in Sapporo and then Tokyo/Futakotamagawaen when I taught EFL there.

  • how do you not crash!? O_o

  • I am studying to be an english teacher and in the near future I am going to spend 3 months in japan to get used to living over there do you have any suggestions??

  • @lilkittychan You think life is easy? Japan will punish you.

  • @singsing4753 Go back under your Chinese/Korean propaganda rock.

  • i wanna know the song name starting at 1:58 please o: really nice video =)

  • DUDE I found that post office on google maps one time xD!!

  • fake

  • Anyone know the opening song name?

  • how much does it cost to live in the apartment you have/had in japan

and is teaching there totally worth all the trouble during college?

  • Every english teacher in Japan is a charisma man!

  • ermm in the ending of the video you said a "universal sign for a postal office in Japan", "I beleive you meant to say an international sign for a postal office in Japan", You sure that you are an authentic English Teacher LOOOL

  • @superinzaghi9

Um...actually, you're wrong on 2 levels. 'Universal' is the right word because it means that that's the sign that appears everywhere in Japan, and "international' would be wrong because it's applicable only to that nation. Not sure where you learned English...

  • @fosterslover ok so i dont know if im right or wrong, but wouldn't universal mean in the universe, meaning it is in every country, and planet?

just wondering, I may be wrong or not, but yeah, clearify that for me..

also just so you know, english is not my first language, so yeah, i could be wrong :)

  • @singh4lyfee

Universal doesn't have to pertain to the universe. You can use the word to describe something that is widespread in a single group. Saying "This is the universal post office sign in Japan" means that this is the common or official sign in Japan. If he were to have said "This is the universal post office sign," then that would have been ambiguous because the statement only applies to Japan. By including the phrase "in Japan," however, the description is exclusive to that group.

  • @fosterslover ah, sorry, i guess i had not watched the video properly the first time, just heard the japan part, and yes, i suppose that is right.

    Thank you for replying :)

  • Thank you, dear. I appreciate this.

Can you tell us please about daily costs of living where you do, please?

    In other words:

How much does food cost, the internet, lights and electricity, eating out, clothes for you, household cleaning supplies, etc.? Sorry to appear to be grilling you, but this minutia and stuff really is helpful. Thanks, dear! :)

  • Tokyo is one of the worst places to ride a bike. Sapporo on the other hand is perfect for getting around on a bicycle, except when it snows.

  • @choi4816

Granted..... Why bike when you can walk?

Businesses in Tokyo should move their headquarters outside the city or let employees have flexible schedule so they don't have to commute those crowded train everyday.

  • u guys r killing the japanese language and culture, stop with ur globalist nonsense.

  • @jsz430

No worries...... I will keep on fighting! I school nonsense Gaijins all the time.... of course, I have genuine respect for people learning Japanese language and cultures, customs and manners!

  • Everything looks so crammed and tight.

  • i like your footage. Well edited and everything. I'm originally from the country but have never been back for two years. So the fairy narrow sidewalks schoked me as hell. I didn't know it was that narrow.

  • show us videos when you work !

  • I like this video =D

How long are you going to stay there? I want to go to Japan and teach english as well. Although it seems very funny that you made a "teacher in Japan" video about a Saturday lol And yeah, in Japan, bike is way better, you can go places alot more efficiently, and excersise never hurt anyone lol

  • awesome! what program did you do?

  • lol WOAH at 1:34 those two vans just about hit each other head-on. Be careful out there ^_^ Gambatte!

  • Come back to America!!! Illegals need you so you can teach them proper English. Can you imagine if primary language in your own country turns into Spanish? It's already happening in Los Angeles, San Diego and other parts of California(a.k.a. MEXIfornia).

  • Comment removed

  • I'm so sick of everything having to have a Spanish translation with it! We live in AMERICA where you speak ENGLISH! You may think I'm racist, but in reality, I'm just fed up with my country being taken over by people who can't even speak the LANGUAGE! I get so fired up when I talk about this particular topic. But I live in the South, so I experience illegals all the time and I hate it when kids in school constantly speak in Spanish! It's cowardly... I mean, just say it to my face!

  • Hey it's your country so STAND UP!!!! No you're not a racist since I've seen it with my own eyes!! You should be offended since some of them don't attempt to learn English!! The official language in United States of America is ENGLISH period!! No exceptions unless you want territories divided by French speaking and English speaking similar to Canada!

  • Hey why don't the USA make Spanish the official language for the following territories to MEXIfornia, Arizona, New Mexico, Florida,Texas, Colorado, New York, South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi and the rest to English?? How's that sound?

  • Your right! :D It is my country! lol.

But yah, I constantly tell people, when they're speaking in Spanish, that this is AMERICA and we speak ENGLISH in AMERICA!! lol. They always get mad, but I don't care! Yah, maybe I'll say the occasional German phrase, or cuss in Korean, but at least I KNOW ENGLISH and I SPEAK it! D:< Yah, I totally agree on the Canada point. We're not Canada. We are the UNITED States of America. United we stand, divided we fall. Unity is the key to a successful country!

  • Yeah tell your politicians to make English the official language of this country! Some think only speaking Spanish is ok? Also, tell this Eikaiwa instructor to come back to America so he can teach English!

  • You don't communicate well in English. Work on that. "Your right!"

  • There is such a thing as manners, and I believe you should work on those as well. Ever heard of typos? Yes, that is what occurred in my previous comment. So please, I didn't do anything to warrant that kind of backlash. I would think after approximately 11 years of English classes, 7 of those being Advanced Placement, I would be proficient in the subject of grammar. Besides, I was BORN and RAISED in America, so thanks for the 'advice', but I learned that in kindergarten.

  • WOw i know im responding to a 3 month post lol but u say ppl get mad when u come up to them and tell them to stop speaking spanish and speak English cuz your in America ... lol im htinking u can see why they get mad ... thats pretty rude ... lol just like alot of Americans go to Japan thinking they dont need to learn the languege haha !

  • Of course people would get mad, because they are being asked to do something they don't want to. It's not rude, it's the NATIONAL language, and just like Theodore Roosevelt, one of the greatest Presidents of all time said, "Every immigrant who comes here should be required within five years to learn English or leave the country." I'm not saying this only applies to America, I'm saying it's the etiquette of the world and should be heeded by EVERYONE! If I go to Japan, I will learn Japanese. Easy.

  • @SmileForPink not everyone think as u do u know, some people just disagree when ur trying to say them what should they do if someone have the money and want it go to japan. of course it would be easier if u lear japanese first but its not like is your president who decides that

  • What I'm saying is if you want to live in a country, learn the language. You burden the citizens of the country when you can't speak to them, but require special services. If you get stolen from, how will you report it to the police? If you are having chest pains, how will you tell the doctor? If you need to borrow a phone, how will you ask? Communication is everything in this world, so when you can't, you are officially screwed. For your own good, and the good of others, learn the language.

  • @SmileForPink

Yeah where's today's Theodore Roosevelt???? Oh yeah your country got Obama. Remember he said "si puede" which means "yes we can" in Spanish... What's up with that?? I'm really worry about America even though I'm not an American. I learned English when I was in the States because that's the official language of U.S., and I respect America and its values.

  • Your lack of proper punctuation is unimpressive.

  • @pjohnson1982

Did you find a job?? So Obama's stimulus got you a job yet? Ok. What do I need to work on?? Hey Japan is struggling a bit as well so you may want to look job in the States. I heard Wal-Mart is hiring all the time. You know they should change it to "China"-Mart. Maybe your country should ban Chinese made products to your country so AMERICANS get a job making their own stuff rather than products made by Chinese Labor Camp workers.

  • You should work on your English language skills.

  • You should work on your "mcSensei" skills. Hey better yet, you should work on your "Japanese"

  • Hey I know!!! You're the perfect candidate to teach English in Japan so screw Peacecorps and teach Eikaiwa in Japan!! Well..... how about this? You should save your own country first so you should join Americorps? Does Americorps have a program to each English to newcomers?? How to they distinguish from legals to "Illegals"?? I think Japan needs experienced "Eikaiwa" senseis so you should start from your own backyard. Ok.. you're not impressed with my "grammar" so correct me "Sensei".

  • luckyyy! You got one with 2 baskets on it...

  • do more of these videos please!! it's very interesting to watch!!!

  • nice bike

  • ma dream is 2 go 2 tokyo =-( only 15 damm

  • great video

it just sound interesting the single life in Japan. Are Japanese people friendly?

  • good video

  • you should make a video telling us about how you went to college and ended up in your apartment in japan :D

    that would be cool :33

  • yeah!!!

  • wow i plan on teaching in tokyo :D

what company do you work for?

how long do I have to go to college for? Ill be going next year but i dont know what to take...

  • @CorehChan Dosnt matter, aslong as you have a degree, you good to go generally.

  • Wow sounds like a crazy day already! How's life in Japan and how hard was it to move all the way there? Did it cost a lot of money and if so how much? Are people there very nice too americans or are they a little hostile to us? Also how easy or hard is it to find a job down in japan?

I'm sorry to ask so many questions but the idea of living in japan has been a hug dream for me since the age of nine. Also great video

  • That's awesome!!!! It's been my dream as well since I was 12! Well I'm only 14 at the moment^^', but yeah! I love Japan! I think about it 24/7! XD
