A lot of story parts are different from the other mgs games so i disagree, they needed to summarize the story from the other mgs games to in mgs4 because it was supposed to be the final chapter. Only people looking for shit to be mad at didnt like mgs4.
i agree with most of what you said .. especially about the bosses in MGS4, they are so shitty and stupid and just so freakin weird, i really think it pulled down the reputation of the whole MGS series .. i was disappointed about 4 in general because it bent the storyline so bad that i don't believe that it could be fixed easily .. now MG Rising is on the way and i think it'll be the last straw that'll break the back of one of the most amazing game ever made .. :(
Since the Playstation 1, Metal Gear Solid has ALWAYS been about cinematography. MGS series is not just a game. If you're looking for straight-out gameplay with less movie scenes, go somewhere else. Apparently, this guy is not a true MGS fan like he claims. If he was he would have known that, other than MGS 3, MGS has ALWAYS re-lived the past in order to solve problems in the present. Besides, Big Boss wasn't the end all of the game. If he wants pure gameplay he should use the nice online feature

@kalilkash973 idk man, i kind of agree with him. I just dont enjoy the shooters that much these days and mass effect kind of was generic to me. I found that demons souls was the first challenging game in a long ass time and that why i enjoyed it soo much. but i will admit hes crazy for saying that mgs4 sucks cuz i thought (as a fan) that it was a perfect way to end the series.

@SuperMicklovin lmao! you must be blind, how is the AI bad? it's probably done way better than any other game's A.I. that are out these days. I see the AI in mgs giving out hand signals, flanking, taking cover and actually accurate with their commands and movements. You want to see bad A.I. watch Crysis 2. @SuperMicklovin loL!! you seem to be extremely blind. Play that game in Extreme Mode (highest difficulty) the A.I. can spot you from miles away, thats how good they are. They react to the environment and what you're wearing and also know what to do in tense situations. You obviously haven't played mgs4 correctly and just typing random crap. I have KZ2, the A.I. tend to just stare off for 10 secs and start shooting at you.

MGS 5 is an upcoming MGS game, official big boss's game and his story, rising of outer haven. Plus all those button pressing really make it more better, if it was just a normal gun shoot out then it would be like nothing.

The subtitle is the main plot of the game, it's the hint. Lol wow can't believe you're so blind to see that. MGS4 is one of the worst games i've ever played. but uncharted 2 ? that was an amazing game and it sounds like you dislike it or think its overrated. wow dude
@Youngbling76 One of the worst games I'VE ever played. well for starters I don't play games for one hour cut scenes and a story that hardly makes sense. Secondly the game play I did play was really bad.
Slow movements awkward camera and extremely poor A.I made the stealth aspect so east it wasn't even fun. The only thing i liked was the multiplayer but since knowone plays that any more.......... oh i know i have grammar errors please don't point them out

@SuperMicklovin ..... ok the A.I. this part you are very wrong. The A.I. in MGS was the best i've seen in any game. They have realistic hand and body movements, they clear out areas, report to HQ (vice-versa), check dead bodies or check for pulse, flank you, take cover and not on invisible walls and know what to do when situation gets tense. I haven't really seen that in any game even if it did it was completely off like Crysis 2 AI oh and multiplayer? lol last time i was there full servers
Here I go again. But ive worked out why it sucked. The story tried to say everything when in some cases more can be said with less. It was like having someone explaining details you dont need to know or you can work out for yourself. The cut scenes linked to the story but not what was actually happening in the game. The cut sceens were insulting to people with a brain. Instead of letting the story tell itself it in a natural way it forced its way on the screen.
I agree with you. It has way to much cinematic and the storyline was terrible. I like the game though and it looks amazing but they should have cut down all the stupid cut scenes.
BTW I loved MGS3 but i hated all the cobras except The End. I didn't like that the Russians diddnt have Russian accents. Volgin was super super lame. But the game was fun and rewarding to play in every other way I played through it again a week ago and was still impressed by the graphics. It was a game where you are involved whereas MGS4 your clearly place on the spectator seat wondering why why why why did they do this to snake he deserved so much better.

i agree with most of what you said .. especially about the bosses in MGS4, they are so shitty and stupid and just so freakin weird, i really think it pulled down the reputation of the whole MGS series .. i was disappointed about 4 in general because it bent the storyline so bad that i don't believe that it could be fixed easily .. now MG Rising is on the way and i think it'll be the last straw that'll break the back of one of the most amazing game ever made .. :(

Since the Playstation 1, Metal Gear Solid has ALWAYS been about cinematography. MGS series is not just a game. If you're looking for straight-out gameplay with less movie scenes, go somewhere else. Apparently, this guy is not a true MGS fan like he claims. If he was he would have known that, other than MGS 3, MGS has ALWAYS re-lived the past in order to solve problems in the present. Besides, Big Boss wasn't the end all of the game. If he wants pure gameplay he should use the nice online feature

@SuperMicklovin loL!! you seem to be extremely blind. Play that game in Extreme Mode (highest difficulty) the A.I. can spot you from miles away, thats how good they are. They react to the environment and what you're wearing and also know what to do in tense situations. You obviously haven't played mgs4 correctly and just typing random crap. I have KZ2, the A.I. tend to just stare off for 10 secs and start shooting at you.

Trust me, if it was a gunfight i dont think it would have been any epic than a fist fight. Saying goes "Guns are for the weak, your real weapon are your fists" and that last fight brought it. Plus all those button pressing really make it more better, if it was just a normal gun shoot out then it would be like nothing.

The graphics, story, characters, gameplay shit even cutscenes, it evolved but well yeh know Liquid Ocelot is dead and mgs4 is the final chapter for snake and well there is MGS5 which will revolve around big boss's life Outer haven

@Youngbling76 One of the worst games I'VE ever played. well for starters I don't play games for one hour cut scenes and a story that hardly makes sense. Secondly the game play I did play was really bad.
Slow movements awkward camera and extremely poor A.I made the stealth aspect so east it wasn't even fun. The only thing i liked was the multiplayer but since knowone plays that any more.......... oh i know i have grammar errors please don't point them out

@SuperMicklovin ..... ok the A.I. this part you are very wrong. The A.I. in MGS was the best i've seen in any game. They have realistic hand and body movements, they clear out areas, report to HQ (vice-versa), check dead bodies or check for pulse, flank you, take cover and not on invisible walls and know what to do when situation gets tense. I haven't really seen that in any game even if it did it was completely off like Crysis 2 AI oh and multiplayer? lol last time i was there full servers

Here I go again. But ive worked out why it sucked. The story tried to say everything when in some cases more can be said with less. It was like having someone explaining details you dont need to know or you can work out for yourself. The cut scenes linked to the story but not what was actually happening in the game. The cut sceens were insulting to people with a brain. Instead of letting the story tell itself it in a natural way it forced its way on the screen.

BTW I loved MGS3 but i hated all the cobras except The End. I didn't like that the Russians diddnt have Russian accents. Volgin was super super lame. But the game was fun and rewarding to play in every other way I played through it again a week ago and was still impressed by the graphics. It was a game where you are involved whereas MGS4 your clearly place on the spectator seat wondering why why why why did they do this to snake he deserved so much better.
