@NorwegianKafir Atheism does not essentially mean belief in science. I am not saying you suggested it does, but I just wanted to clarify that fact. As an agnostic/atheist, I do not really understand what should make the human race so important to any atheist that he or she would want to "purify" it as Hitler wanted. @vrv39 Hitler and the Nazi party claimed Christianity and Catholicism. They weren't really Christian. Jesus, Paul, John, Peter, Polycarp, Timothy, Stephen, and James never preached hatred or retribution against Jewish people. They preached love, Understanding, Compassion, and guidelines on how to be a Christian. Hitler doesn't match any of the principles preached. Hitler may or may not have been an atheist, but he sure as hell didn't worship or follow Christ.

Later he was a communicant and altar boy in the Church. As a young man, was confirmed as a “soldier of CHRIST.” His hope was to become a priest. He writes of his love for the church and clergy in his book. He was NEVER excommunicated by his church. The Church felt he was JUST and “avenging for God” in attacking the Jews.

Millions of Nazis committed the atrocities listening to the lies and accepted them based on faith in Christianity and that Hitler was doing Gods work. As an agnostic/atheist, I do not really understand what should make the human race so important to any atheist that he or she would want to "purify" it as Hitler wanted. Jesus, Paul, John, Peter, Polycarp, Timothy, Stephen, and James never preached hatred or retribution against Jewish people. They preached love, Understanding, Compassion, and guidelines on how to be a Christian. Hitler doesn't match any of the principles preached. Hitler may or may not have been an atheist, but he sure as hell didn't worship or follow Christ.

Later he was a communicant and altar boy in the Church. As a young man, was confirmed as a “soldier of CHRIST.” His hope was to become a priest. He writes of his love for the church and clergy in his book. He was NEVER excommunicated by his church. The Church felt he was JUST and “avenging for God” in attacking the Jews.

Yes, the Communist atheists captured, beat and tortured people who believed in God just like the Catholic Christians beat and tortured non-Christians during the Spanish Inquisition.
However, both the argument I have presented and the argument you presented are irrelevant since the members of both rampages are not part of our sub-groups. I, a secular humanist, and I'm not sure what you are, but obviously a group who views themselves as just.

If I had children i would raise them without any contamination of religion.
Why? Because it is natural to just live and it is natural for people to know they are to treat others with respect and dignity. You do not need a religion to tell you to be a good person.
If someone is tortured for christ it is their own fault and the fault of the parents for indoctrinating them with a religious belief system. Religion is a spell and a trance...a drug which causes people to not think clearly.

You can say rocks believe in god if you like, after all, you think that it is rational to actively pursue what you say is a non belief, if you think that is rational then that is up to you LOL, that still is not the definition of atheism.

I think you miss the joke, when I said about singing not christian songs, if you were at atheist summer camp then you wouldn't be singing christian songs would you? You would not define a song by what it is not but what it is, I was not making a point about being anti theistic, when I said about not sitting around a central heater, you would not say that, you would say sitting around a campfire, the points flew right over your head LOL
