You're a wonderful dad! My dad have taken me around fishing since I were 3 years old, he made me a good fisherman, and this summer we were in northern norway on halibut fishing, I got the 3 biggest fish of 8 man that lived with us, 27, 37 and 47 kilos, also got a few under that size, but that was incredible and the best time of my life! great dad! i wish my dad was like that when i fished with him as a kid. he made it boring and more about catching fish with his ineffective method and getting agrivated and upset all the time. one thing he taught me is how not to be a good dad. haha and with my children, we have the best times, they beg me to take em out on the lake, even if we don't catch anything. fishing is about building relationships and fun and less about the fish itself. nice video!

For me, I'm a purist and way too passionate about Striper fishing to jeopardize my love for the sport by trying to profit from it. I love the challenge of getting this species to bite artificials and that's what drives me. But doing it for a living is a whole entirely different animal and not nearly as fun as taking friends and family out for fun.

@XxLaOBoyxX89 No leader needed. Lot's of fisherman believe leaders are needed to disguise or hide spider wire/braided line. In my experience, I'm not able to see any difference in the amount of bites we get when comparing Mono to Braid to Fluorocarbon. What we note is when the Stripes are on, it doesn't matter what line you're using which is fine by me :)

@usprayj there are more reasons to using a leader than just visibility. Braid does not take the power of a monster fishing hitting your line, but mono will absorb all the shock. I've heard of people's rods breaking because they had nothing to absorb the strength of fish when using braid without a leader (braid is a no stretch line, so it doesn't take impact ). And also, it gives you something to grab when landing a fish that wont cut your hand open.
