  • ATI graphics cards showcased in this 480p video .... proves the point right?

  • it's not a motherboard, and it's not a gigantic gpu, look closer it's simetric, 2 gpus together.

  • wow.. so cool

wish I had even one of that card...

  • Oh boo, i thought this was going to be from bare silicon and through the fab.

  • imagine how valuable a 2-way crossfire setup where the two card's pcbs are still connected at the edge would be.

  • ati making card = compete with nvidia by cramming as much regular stream processors into the card as you can instead of worrying about super effecient stream processors. Viola, you now have a one foot long video card to cram into ur pc, and it's the same speed as the half foot nvidia card.

  • ATI was another piss poor Canadian owned/run company. They plodded along, waiting for an American (AMD) company to buy them out, to be able to move along in life. All Canadian companies are like this.

  • So there you have it. That's the entire process.

  • that one big ass graphics card

  • this video is too brief

  • speed the musik up for good dutch TEKNO

  • its an ati motherboard, just connect it to a pci express slot on your original motherboard and you now have 2 computers in one.

  • Starts with a card, then they add the GPU.. DONE

  • I could probably build one myself now, this video has taught me so much...

  • that is a GIGANTIC gpu....

  • LOL i want a machine like that XD

  • looks like they are making motherboards or the biggest gpx cards ever........

  • @killicomaine no, they are dual board so they get cut in half

    it speeds up manufactureing time

  • @Jombo23MC either everyone is pretending to be dumb or they really don't know what a graphics card looks like.

  • @majorhavoxg1 True dat.

i feel bad for my age group. their rap music is so stupid and every one of them is into drugs. im 15, know 20 times more about computers, and i like the good music from 50's-80's

  • @Jombo23MC Even Dubstep and Techno now has better lyrics.

  • Truthfully I never want to see anything in my computer over 120F

I can tell you that if you try anything over 100F on a pentium 4 , you won't be booting up.

  • I can tell you that I was born in 1970 and have used computers all my life.

the Radeon 9800 Pro is the ONLY ATI card I've EVER had come in to my lab with artifacts from thermal , guessing the user abused it ...

nVidia 6800 models had that kind of problem too.

I'm happy with my Radeon 5830 , it's idol temp is about 35c in a 75 degree room temp.

    mid temps 45c

    high temps 55c

    extreme 60c

And that's in open air on a table with extra fan cooling on front and back.

  • I do believe it's a Radeon 9800 pro 128MB or 256MB model.

Got one here in my lab with artifacts from thermal I bet.

Doesn't look like the 9800 pro is a trustable model in the long run.

  • ok, so it is made with the help of SMD technology, that`s it? and a guy doing a visual control? c`mon.....

  • BE CAREFULL!! don't scratch my card!

  • AMD The Best

  • Comment removed

  • They use technology and robots and magic

  • damn so many, my uncle should give me one since hes a computer engineer.

  • these arent handmade?

  • @The10thTry only in china my freind

  • @CADtekk Just making sure things looked all right in general. For example that it had a chipset on, that the transistors seemed ok (no glue or other impurities on them. It's just a general check, they have an in-depth testing room not far

  • SPOILER ALERT!

    Vid sucks

  • are kids supposed to be playing on these miniature cities?

  • good old AGP

  • From watching this, I now know how to mass produce graphics cards. Thank you ATI.

  • I wonder how much cheaper amd would be if it was made in china...

  • @HaloHamstur fuck made in china... give jobs to USA, Canada and Europe!

  • @AlchemistPure Many companies are greedy. Amd doesn't seem greedy though.

  • @HaloHamstur that's why AMD is better and cheaper. No, it does not support the latest CrossFire or SLI, because it's been released three months ago, and the same specs Intel processor supports it, but costs $100 more. I tell you, AMD is better. Try amd-ATi. Rocks

  • @AlchemistPure nothing is better, they just made better once each time the other companies made the fastest gpu, you need both companies for gpu to get better, otherwise one will monopolize the gpu industry.

  • @quangluu96 Yes, true. You're right. I was blind. I'm so thinking like you in everyday life, but honestly, I don't think like that in the computer industry. Thanks for opening my eyes, dude :D

  • @AlchemistPure i'll go for Nvidia, since i like physx, i play games and do a little animation, so i need physx to speed things up :D.

  • Wow that video did not show shit other than a circuit board on a conveyor belt

  • AMD #FTW

  • redion 9800xt or pro at the end.

Must have been a really old video

  • Even the circuit board is RED? They sure love the color red.

  • @eenayeah Well ATi cards come in all different colors, I had a HD 5670 with a green board, and my current card has a blue board. But I think the majority of ATi cards are red.

  • @MechWarrior324 It depends on what you buy. For instance, it could be a regular (example) ATi Radeon HD 5800 built by ATi, that would have a Red board. Another ATi Radeon HD 5800 could be built by XFX and they could make the board black. The list goes on.

  • @SOF006 Yeah the company it's made by determines the color it is.

  • @eenayeah Of course, it's the company's color! lol

  • I liked the part when they made the graphics plate...

  • thought it was a motherboard :/

  • How will that fit in my computer?

  • The amd logo at the end murdered it :(

  • $530.00 for a video card and you fuckers are making them in 53 seconds????????

Anyone else see a problem with this?

  • @hellfiredod You know they're just assembling the cards... the amount of energy and resources required to make the chipsets, and what not costs quite a lot..

  • @Cvoong

LoL i love the haters !!! Dude the video is 0:53 seconds long~~~ ... it was a sarcastic comment!

  • geforce was much better !

  • why do they cost 700 dollars now?

  • If you Look closely Theres 2 cards and i think they just snap off before larger compoents are added on.

  • 0:36 now thats an insane crossfire setup

  • @Camster3 LOL, anyways this has to be integrated graphics or the oddest shaped card I have ever seen

  • @TheGammajamma it's two cards on one pcb, they are snapped in half then finished.

  • @Camster3 Holy Shit.... random video and you happen to be the top comment cameron...

  • @TekenMoop :D

  • i would took one graphics card if i work at the factory of it

  • seriously?

  • Very short

  • That shit looks like a friggin OEM motherboard!

  • they take 53 minutes to make one, no wait two card and i have to pay a boatload of money? thats insane

  • Oh so now i know how to make my own graphic card, i take a Red icream, take a lot of little rocks, Get some Gun bullets, Use a dog Shit, BAM!! i have my own Graphic card :D

  • no cut corners

  • Most expensive plastic in world

  • those are motherboards not GPU's

  • @johnrigo Sorry but your wrong it's just 2 Graphics cards stuck together

  • I'd like to know the location of this factory :3

  • high tech legos

  • Piece of cardboard, lip balm containers, and a thin mint, now i can play Crysis on High at 700fps and no heat issues :D

  • I almost totally f*cked up my ati radeon hd 4650 yesterday,(sorry for my language).

I put the GPU-clock at: 778MHz and the Memoryclock at: 680MHz and pressed the "test" button.. The whole screen like blurred up like when you don´t have any signal on the TV. Then the screen became black and said "No Sync".. :S

I turned off the power directly because I though I almost burned it up.

    Not good huh?

  • @worldbmx Nope lol im sure the card could withstand though! JUST dont go crazy and oc to like 1000mhz lol

  • @worldbmx nah you didn't damage it when it does that all ti means is the overclock isn't stable nothing permanent happens unless you up voltage

  • I watching this video on my HD Radeon 6870! Proud of it! :D

  • its so....beautiful!

  • And yet we still pay hundreds of dollars

  • big grapics cards :P 2 gpu's thats more a motherboard :P

  • At least they're working -.-

  • I totally deserve one for free.

  • that man who works at 0:30 have the best job ever. just sitting there and press the red button if somthing is wrong

  • hey why if hey make these cards so fast and in big numbers , why are they so EXPENSIVE? :S

  • @blago9444 supply and demand.

  • @blago9444 materials cost money , so does testing and paying for the billions it costs to build fabrication plants

  • @girlsdrinkfeck Yes rnd does cost money but not nearly the cost they state. Also they do rnd for one product then. DO downgrading locking chips and making card less functional thats version 1 then they fix 1 or two things then thats version 2 so on and so on.

  • HOW IN-DEPTH WAS THAT, FOLKS!

  • Nice to see it wasn't a chinese for once.

  • @Headshot426 Chinese = Pay each person 3 Dollars a Week | Machine = FREE

  • @YoshiHDify Machines aren't free..

  • @omgodzilla10 To build No, to operate.. "near free".

  • @Headshot426 You know that the Chinese still use machines to manufacture things too. They don't have people stacking components on PCBs manually.

  • @Headshot426 one of the factorys is in markaham canada

  • @Headshot426 why is it nice?

  • @Headshot426 Nope, it's Taiwan instead ;)

  • Comment removed

  • thats how easy it is to make one.. stupid slow progress so they can get us more excited and rake more money. they can make a serious card of the future but nooo, they wanna take baby steps.

  • talk about 2 gpu's in one board

  • awesohummm!

  • Mine has two boards, one for bus and one for card, it mates up with array of bus boards for each stick of ram.

  • haha so many nvidia fanboys!

  • Thats a lot of money there on 0:37 - 0:39

  • shows almost nothing.. is this a trailer for the REAL video of "hwo things are made?" if not, thats bullshit!

  • Ah, so that's everything you need to know to make your own awesome graphics card... how enlightening.

  • 5770 FTW!

  • WHEN DO THOSE BIG MOTHERFUCKERS COME OUT... DAAAAAMMMMNNNNN!!!

  • hi up the all process or u know where i can watch

  • I have an ATI 4570 512 mb that can run Cod 4 at 55 fps on high setting. So you guys need to stop with that. Can run crysis at 22 fps on high or 37 fps on medium!

  • @briskrizk what are u playing at 1024x768 ????

  • @theunkown8 nope 1366x768. It over heats a little but no power issues

  • @briskrizk overclock?

  • IT LIVESSSSSSSS; cool video

  • lol at the fanboy comments below

Both Nvidia and Ati make great cards

  • Can I have one?

  • lol 0:41 RADEON 9800?? ><

  • wow very easy.... i have PICK N PLACE machine in the garage need schematics..lol

  • ATI >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> nvidia crap

  • @uxot

You are some 8 years old stupid kid...

  • @exon576 no u and gtfo ggkthxbai

  • @uxot

    Whats wrong silly little dumbass?

  • @exon576 you.

  • @uxot ooo the poor little asshole cries...

  • @exon576 and the talkshiter talkshit.and no i aint crying ,crying is for emo perhaps you are one?

  • @uxot hahaha dont cry dummy

  • @uxot bet u $5 that your ATI card cant even run cod 4

  • @someone0000000000000 sure an 5770 suck so bad, that it runs Crysis on max up 60 fps. so cod4 is nothing for it.

  • damn i love to work in there :( to bad its a little to far.

  • i don't get it, if the ATI stuff performs better while remaining cooler is it not better?

conversley, if i have software compatability issues with ATI's drivers when i don't with nvidia's, then isn't nvidia's software better?

hasn't it always been the case that ATI has had sucky drivers?

in my experience, nvidia optimises their drivers for specific games prior to them being released and ati waits till it hears theres a problem before fixing it, i'm thinking about bad company 2 here.

  • arkatub=best dickwad onnamejoe=best fuckwad ati fanboys r gay do some research before u make conclusions ......

  • @suicrat

All fanboys are stupid you dumbass.

Fanboys will be the demise of companies.

  • @TMNoob3

technically no, fanboys will keep companies afloat even if they churn out crap.

  • @ 0:33 i was like what? they arent that big

  • 0:38, can i have one PLEEASE!!!!

  • I wanna work there !

  • piece of plastic, glue some round things to it, some square things.. bam!

  • @admiralevan bam! the best graphics card in the world.

  • @admiralevan yeah accually the driver do everything!!!! so ppl sownload the hd 5970 crossfire X driver and your done

  • @admiralevan but still better then nvidea =D

  • @RaverGames You're damn right its better, Nvidia is loud and clunky and takes too much voltage to run

  • @admiralevan

Power usage is measured in watts. Volts+Amps=Watts.

  • @smartguy9765 Wut?

  • @admiralevan

    you heard me

  • @smartguy9765 Everyone who listens to slipknot is a retard... Myself included, just saying, SMART GUY!

  • @admiralevan

sorry bro, im not a retard, but its cool how open you are about yourself being one.

  • @admiralevan

    I'm guessing you're not very tech-savy?

  • @admiralevan piece of plastic?

are you retarded, its not plastic

    its copper

    tard

  • @xXJOEVXx good job fuck head... boards are made out of copper lmao. you should consider killing yourself. It's called epoxy resin.

  • @KarlT01 ha dumb bitch, did you just wiki that? PCB aren't made out of epoxy resin stupid, its made out of copper sheets. fuck your stupid epoxy resin is an insulator. Maybe next time don't use wikipedia dick sucker

  • @xXJOEVXx lmao. copper sheets. dude I can't stop laughing. Your dick is made out of copper sheets. You literally have no idea what you talking about, you thick fuck. You're just embarrassing yourself.

  • @KarlT01 rofl rofl rofl why dont you go eat some of that epoxy resin and die troll bitch

  • @xXJOEVXx Go watch some anime, you 30 year old virgin. lmao. You're fucking sad person.

  • @admiralevan u noe dis haha xD

  • I love ati

  • god damn technoligy these days are extreme!

  • this is wat we pay hundreds of dollars for

  • o:28 good to see someone is at quality control, lol XD

  • if i buy a £24 pound graphics card will be able to play full graphics on any game

  • @Willis53y um no to buy a decent grapics card that can run all games out on max you are looking to spend at least £150 i have a 9600 GT with 512mb and that costs around £100 24 pounds couldnt even get you the box a grapics card comes in :P

  • @Willis53y: ha.. nope

  • next gen - ATi Radeon Extreme graphics

  • i have a 2.1ghz processor and an ati radeon hd 3200 graphics card. if i get a better graphics card, could i increase fps in games?

    thanks

  • @RatchetClankFan1996

only a bit i think because when you have a good graphic card but a bad processor your fast graphic card will be slowed down by the slow processor so it would be better you buy a fast processor, too.

  • GIMMIE ONE!!!

  • Too short, narrator and not HD resolution.

  • Intel>AMD

    ATI>Nvidia

  • not when gf100 hits, if you exclude the awful heat and fan noise. Check out gf 480 gtx review at Anandtech; the 480 owns the radeon 5870 in gpu compute and tessellation benchmarks. But I would like to see many more gpgpu benchmarks to see how the different architectures meet at different mass parallel tasks. But the geometry part of the GPU is finally parallelized with the GF100. Very exciting, lots of polygonal detail with future tessellation games.

  • @r0b0kar

I agree with the first part, but the new GTX 480's completely dominate the whole ATi 5000 series under heavy tessalation.

  • @Schnikerdoodle you are wrong. ati does perform better in the same price range ( gtx 480 vs 5970) i dont care about the dual gpu. it is all about the price range and ati wins. nuff said.

  • @mohsun123

Do your research kid, GTX 480 = $500. 5970 = $620-700. 5870 = $400. The GTX 480 is between the two GPU's in the price contest but under heavy tesselation the GTX 480 is in a class of its own.
