i wanna see NASA come up with rovers made of carbon fiber and some other high tech materials capable of exploring Venus for a brief time. the Soviets were able to plant probes on the surface of Venus that survived for very brief moments decades ago. we should be able to do better now, if we can get around the high temperature and crushing pressure.

no real atmosphere on mars, so even if the bacteria lived in the water it would die out eventually, especially since there is no food for the bacteria.

hope you weren't expecting some sort of evolution event lol. evolution is a false theory and even if it did work, it would take billions and billions of years... u would never know the outcome.

Are you guys arguing about evolution, or about the origin of life? Hate to burst your bubble, but the theory of evolution is firmly rooted in scientific studies, it's not fiction (or religion). And it doesn't actually posit much about the origin of life at this point...it's concerned with how life changes over time through mutation and natural selection.

Actually certain bacteria can evolve within weeks. Pay attention in biology class next year. Also the evolution of those bacteria are fully document and were produced in labs. Physical documented evidence my friend. I major in biology. If you would like me to give you a presentation on evolution I will gladly fly my cessna to wherever you live. :)

no, evolution doesn't shake my faith at all. but i must speak the truth. if there was ANY proof of evolution then it would be widely available and it would be obvious even to the layman. but it has to stretch beyond its limits to pull two facts together in order to imagine the connections. yet it also takes studying it so deeply and having to have preconceived evolutionary ideas in order to get to the next level makes it sound like a belief system (aka religion, or doctrine to support atheism).

that's exactly what evolutionists do whether they admit it or not, they might not give their god a name of God, but they make science and carnal knowledge their god and string together the evidence of fossils (for example) and create the on dogmatic dogma of Darwinism/evolution.

As far as I know, they tell it where to go and the rover finds its own way with _A LOT_ of safety checks first. The rover probably double-checks its inteded route with mission control though.

I really hope they can pull this one off. According to Wikipedia, mars' seasons are nearly twice as long..
