  • My choir sang this for fall concert!!! benedictos is my fave part!

  • lolz my 6th grade choir has to sing this

  • wooow!

  • I'm sooo happy. Our choir is getting up to this standard. We are a high school choir. We won 1st place in states last year.

  • My Choir has to Sing this Song this year<33 Its so Catchy!!!(:

  • @Kylieanne2011 All the best!!

  • I love the part after the coda when the tenors come in with the sabaoth slower than the rest towards the end. Beautiful!

  • what a great song! my church choir was practicing this song for choir festival (y) wish us luck ;)

  • it reminds me of Hyrule Field theme from Ocarina of Time.

  • @ortebalm09 thats why i love singing this XD

  • Whoa.

  • my school choir did this... it's epic!

  • @INCURSIONN My school has a reputation for excellence in all fields, but Chorus is one of our specialties. We're very competitive with music, since we don't have sports to compete in.

  • My chorus class is going to pwn! But yeah, they're still better. We only have a CD, and we're just in middle school. GO SOPRANOS! (Just saying!)

  • Now I'm glad I'm singing this...

  • Oh crap this reminds me that I have to sing this song but it's so beauitful! Way better than my choir. TT-TT

  • My mind is blown.

  • What was my choir director thinking? This one's going to be hard to pull off.

  • My choir does this about 7-10 bpm faster, it is sure a fun piece.

  • Holy shit.....sorry excuse my french but...there is no other way to describe this

  • Our chorus is doing this, I feel shamed by you guys now...

  • amazinggg!!!

  • Easily the loveliest Festival Sanctus I have everrrrrrrrr heard :) Beautifully executed! And honest to God, if it was any faster, I'm afraid I'd feel out of breath just listening to it. Perfect as-is.

  • this song is brilliant. i did this with others in district this year and it was so much fun.

  • wayyyyy to sloww

  • @300musicmaster maybe you know it wayyyyyy too fast? :-p

  • @300musicmaster Seriously... how much faster do you think they could do it? This is probably the upper range of what sounds good; I've never performed (nor conducted) it faster.

  • @cygfrydd idk but i've sang this twice now and i've done it both times (diffferent directers) at a good allegro, and this is definately a moderato, it has now energy, though im not suggesting entirely that a faster tempo can help that either, the singers are very perky now are they?

  • The music is amazing!!! I'm in a choir and we are doing this piece so I practice on this one!! Amazing!!!

  • our choir here in southeast Texas is doing it ,probably part of the sight reading and concert competition :)

    its very beautiful.

  • I'll be performing this with my choir at the end of the quarter! This is my first time singing in a choir, so wish me luck!

  • beautiful

  • This choir, blows my mind. This beautiful song with the orchestra is amazing!

  • I SANG THIS

  • omg i just sang this last night for my concert and it was awesome!!

  • I did this last year in choir when i was in 7th, we rocked it haha

  • Im singing this song in 8th grade we just started learning it and were pretty good so far

  • This is a little bit slower in the beginning than I'm used to. However, this is the best version because it includes an orchestra. If my school did this, I wouldn't be able to choose between singing and playing flute because I do both

  • Oh my gosh. I sung this for All-County and play the flute, yet I guess I would prefer singing. . .

  • we are doing this in choraliers. And I love it.

  • So... much... win...

  • incredible!

    absolutely amazing!

i sang this song with a choir once, with piano accompaniment

    but this is just amazing!

  • I'm in 7th grade and i have to sing this song for our spring concert and for our Hershey Park competition. We just started learning it so we aren't that great at it.

  • omg! that was brilliant

the orchestra breathes life into this song

  • three choirs in my area (including mine) are going to perform this song along with an orchestra and percussion, we hope it will sound as good as the original arrangement!

  • we just sang this song at our winter concert in december at our high school in mulvane, most of our altos didn't like it becuase we had to so many high notes but it went really really well.

  • its slow...but greatt !!!

  • i love Missa Festiva so much!!!

  • I'm singing the entire mass for my high school choir this winter. It's going to kick ass.

  • Oh my god! haha bitchin' accompaniment. I never imagined it sounding so good with an orchestra. I sang it in my honor choir just barely, and there are only 14 people in it. but this is one of those songs for massive choirs, if you ask me.

The bass part for this song is so much fun. The only problem is that my voice is so low that it hurts my throat to sing that high. Agh. Enough of my talking.

  • I luv this song, out of the 5 songs I have to sing in the woman's choir at my school, this is my fave. I am an alto, bte. Thi sis a very pretty song

  • very good song. i have to sing this too so i was looking for a clear version of it. you guys rock

  • very nice

  • Fav version of this song

  • The Orchestra is a bit Lavish, I suppose, seeing as the accompaniment is piano in the version he wrote, but not bad. Speed up the opening a bit, please.

As a side note, I think this is the only time I've ever heard Latin Sung with such a German accent.

  • I know the tempo of the introduction is notated Q = 120, but having heard this *many* times at competition, I think the opening is much more dramatic if it's taken a bit slower and more ... mysteriously? It contrasts the frenetic pace of the rest of the piece very well. The orchestration? Yeah, needs to be a LOT lighter and less intrusive. It's walking all over the chorus.

  • The accent you hear is because this a Belgian choir. We speak in Belgium Dutch, wich sounds a bit the same as German.

  • Very good, but we have a choir here in Brazil that performs it faster... it's better in my opinion...

  • weird

  • Why?

  • What?

  • Why would this be weird?

  • This piece actually does not exist for orchestra, the director you can see arranged it especially for this concert.

  • I mean conductor, not director, sorry
