Indias biggest problem is population a result of lack of education and corruption. Our nation needs to trade with the outside world to sustain. From metro to nuclear reactor technology is bought by us from developed countries. How you Delhi be without metro and CNG engines and how would India be without civilian nuclear reactors? Closing our doors will lead to our own demise because much of what we use is not ours from TVs to engines to electricity. Its to criticize but difficult to innovate.

Developed countries show poor countries a path to prosperity and poor countries pay a hefty amount for such guidance or help. Today majority of Indian workforce is employed in call centers, IT firms etc. Developed nations like US, UK are primary customers of such firms. Respectful Mr. Dixit subtly implies that poor nations should not deal with rich nations. In such a case, where would millions of people currently employed in India go? Its a very debatable topic but I side with development side.

Indian worforce is employed in outsourced work. This is not something to celebrate. One sweep of recession will blow away millions of job. The millions employed in India can hold on to their jobs. Its just that they will need to work for something which is beneficial for their own country. In any case, "It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society". What you like to refer to as "development" is actually economic subjugation!

Let's just say that I blindly agree to every word spoken by Rajiv Dikshit here at face value, without even trying to question them, though it would be interesting to seek clarifications on some of his "vishwasniya sootra" and Chidambaram's call to "loot" India, even if I don't question any of that, or any other talks Rajiv Diksit has ever given, I have never once heard anything from him which even closely resembles a solution, it's always criticism.

He has delivered more than 10 hour long lecture on health, spread over 8 days, 3 hour long lecture on organic farming in a single session. @vatsalanand I agree I haven't heard all of his lectures, but i can assure you that I have heard a lot of his lectures. I remember the first time I heard him was back in 98, when I was in 10th standard and I've been listening to quite a few of his lectures and I agree with most of them. But then again, I've also kept an open mind, tried to understand other perspectives and refuse to believe everything I hear on blind faith. Regarding what others might say, I hardly think that's being dumb.

Some may be true, many, seem to be conjectures or possibilities or worse, opinions stated as facts. I am a student of political science and have studied the Keynsian & Austrian schools of thought, so I understand things when it comes to macro economics
