  • I really need to replay this one... and/or finish up my 5H (or was it H5) file. Just so damn... meh... not as easy to replay as the GBA ones, despite being portable. :/

  • Jake is a fucking beast. I recommend getting him, then get Beck. BALLISTA FTW!

  • I can't beat chapter 23. I only have one sorcerer that can use Starlight and those Bishops with swarm keep killing him. I've lost so many of my powerful characters. Ogma, Bantu, Jagen, etc. Barst is the only guy i have left, everyone else is extra help. Can someone please tell me a good way to win?

  • @LightningLegend12 Here's the biggest piece of advice I can offer you - never ever let characters like Ogma die! He's just too damn valuable, like Nabarl or your healers besides Wrys.

Plus, Bantu and Jagen are terrible characters.

  • @Demonhornz Bantu's movement range sucked, but I actually sorta liked him. Jagen, after the first few chapters did become useless but for the first 5 or so i liked him.

  • @LightningLegend12 okay... first, delete the file. second, learn from your mistakes... losing a key character in a battle is a good way to start new tracks. third, referring to no. 2, you will have to many times. fourth, dont waste your money on forging. the secret shop in chap. 23 sells master seals, and if you have the silver card, you can get it at half the price, so LEVEL UP YOUR MOST-LIKELY-TO-BE-KILLED-CHARACTERS to level 10 or higher to get craploads of new fighters.

  • @LightningLegend12 Fffffuuuu....23 is a bitch, but it is do able. If you can't beat Gharnaf then just run up to the door at the top and capture it and u will win. Other than that you'll need Linde/Merric, Marth, Ogma, Tiki and then a selection of others, possibly Shiida/Ceada for magic defence. Use Magic water to protect your mage if you wana kill the Dark Pontifex

  • @LightningLegend12 That's what you get for letting the old men fight your battles. Bad karma.

  • "I know you're far too sweet to mow down hordes of enemies"

    Well actually...

  • @Barrylocke

Merric: Yeah... about that.... I soloed 10 chapters in a row.

    Elice: WHAT!?

  • @Brawldud Aww, he could have saved some kills for Linda or Katua or Oguma or something.

  • @Barrylocke Ahh well, Merric just does whatever he wants with Excalibur, Thorron, and Bolganone. If he doesn't feel like saving any kills, then save no kills he will.

  • @Brawldud Well as long as Linda gets her share. They can be Mage buddies.

  • @Brawldud ...And I one-shotted a dracoknight as a level 3...

  • Merric can also have one with Linde/Linda...

I wish they had added support convo in this game.

  • jajajajaja ok. ....... what I want is to remember the I title of the melody that you placed, wise that it was of Fire Emblem sword of seals, but I cannot find in youtube the topic with their correct name, since to tell the truth I like enough

  • From Fire Emblem 6. It's called princess of destiny, Theme of Guinevere.

  • thanks

  • the name of the theme, I Don`t remind the name of the theme in FE 6, is great, I Lost my game and lost the music.....

  • The English is not easily understandable, but if what you want to ask me is the title of the game, then Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon. The music from this is from an earlier Fire Emblem, but I still don't quite understand. Did you get what you want?

  • so does this game still incorporate supports?

  • Nope. Just a single conversation between two characters that fit the bill. For example, I had to wait 'till the end of the game to get Elice, and I had to keep Merric alive through the whole game to meet Elice so this conversation could happen. You know a conversation will happen by the indication of a yellow square when your moving.

  • okay thank you

  • fun fact: Merric marries Elice at the end of Fe3

  • Uhh, really? Wait, so there are old Fire Emblems as sequels to this one?

  • Huh...I just let my Merric die, he wasn't of any real worth, I mean...he was screwed over by the RNG, do I just killed him off...that was one of the reasons, the other is that I was doing a Gaiden run, completed all but 24x I did.

  • Dude, he's the only mage you get on a normal run besides if you build up Lena (cause Wrys sucks and noone likes him) to a bishop. I did both and they ended up being speedy little tanks to slice through opponents. I use Merric back to back with Nabarl for raiding the enemy, even gave him a Heal staff. Plus, Excalibur is an awesome spell and only Merric can use. Another thing is if you build up his skill points, he can handle Starlight and all the exotic spells you can get.

  • Any male spellcaster with a B in tomes or greater can use Excalibur, just like any female spellcaster with a B or greater in tomes can use Aura.

  • Says on Excalibur that ONLY Merric can use. Linde can use Aura at level E, but its entirely two different cases. Excalibur is just for Merric.

  • I like to train both of my mages, and the one that ends up with the best stats, I keep. On my latest playthrough, Linde came out on top, with a higher magic, skill and speed rating. The first time, I kept Merric and he was quite epic, capable of felling Gharnef with one burst of Starlight.

He totally owned Gharnef with a critical, if you ask me, that's some delicious overkill there. Linde did the same thing. They must love making Gharnef disappear within a cloud of ownage. :D

  • Muhaha. :D

But you must have gotten some really lucky stat growths with Linde or some major stat abuse. Everyone says go with Merric the Mighty.

  • She was pretty lucky on that playthrough, I suppose.

I love the absence of Resistance in Shadow Dragon, makes magic users ridiculously useful. Even magic users have poor resistance(aside from Lena), which makes your own magic users very valuable, it is funny because even the weaker magic users still pose as threats to most foes. Rain fire down on their wretched souls. :D

  • @FellstarOverlord Well in the original FE1, to make up for it, magic users had literally no growth, so they were more for dealing set damage to enemies. In FE3, they have some growth, but its still not that impressive. I'm not sure what its like in FE11 though.

  • can u recruit gharnef?

  • The description says "Tome B Mt 13 Hit 100 Crit 20 Rng 1-2 Wt 1, Wind magic for men (Merric can use at level E)." Other units can use it; my Merric died, and I had Gotoh use it in the final level. If you dont believe me go look at serenesforest.

  • no its not it says merric can use it at E cuz my Boah (who has B in magic) was using excalibur

  • If I remember correctly, any magic user with a B in tomes can use excailbur. Of course, Merric can use it with E on tomes. and Linde can use Aura with E in tomes as well. =)

  • Is the Fire Emblem game for the DS is RPG?

  • It is for the DS and its the same style as all the Fire Emblem's before it. It is highly reminiscent of the GBA ones mostly.

  • Oh Ok.

  • first!

  • And?
