Still one of the most orignal, coolest sounds I've ever heard. Nothing sounds like a proton pack warming up. To a ghost, it must be like hearing a pump action shotgun racking a round behind you.

Pretty weak follow-up to "The Real Ghostbusters." I would have liked it more had they not tried to be so politically correct with the new recruits. Just goes to show, every cartoon with "Extreme" or "Unlimited" in the title is typically disappointing.

Cartoons have been taken too seriously and has led to the cancellation of so many good cartoons during the last 15 years. I personally didn't like this at the start, but after watching a few episodes when it started I found it very enjoyable to watch.

The original "real" ghostbusters was so much better, it was more intelligent and actually went in deep with the mythology and folklore of a lot of the creatures.

Absolutely agree. Yet you would be surprised at how some people say that "The Real Ghostbusters" itself was worse than the older Ghostbusters movie with the gorilla.

I think thats a bit harsh, I agree it was no where near as good as "real" ghostbusters, but it was still a fairly entertaining show. What "killed" Ghostbusters was Ghostbusters 2 and the largely negative impact it left with people : /

It really disappoints me how this show has acquired a bad rap just for having a guy in a wheelchair. Sure, it may have been an improbable and pretty blatant attempt to weave some unasked P.C. sensibility into a kids' show, but the decision didn't detract anything from its entertainment value.

It'd be awesome if they made a live action movie that showcased the transition from the classic-but-aging GBs to these guys, rather than eventually try to revive (molest) the old roster with a new cast.
