  • Miley, thx for your videos. Very helpful! I do have the same question as salmongirl tho. How would you cast off using one side [when you used both sides of the loom for a project]? Thxvfor the videos :)

  • Mikey,

My grandmother use to make pot holders and she use to make me do them. I can't remember how. So I bought a loom because it looked easier that crochet hooks but it does not seem to help. Can you give me any advice? The have a double knit stockinette stitch but the instructions are not the best for using a loom.

    Thanks

  • Looks like a hummingbirds to me.....

  • When I finished pulling the loops over my crochet hook, and was able to pull it out of the knifty knitter, the end that I stopped at wasn't where my yarn was at?

I don't know if that made any sense...

  • Mikey, you are my hero! Your videos are wonderful and you have the sweetest voice! Thanks so much!

  • Mikey Mikey Mikey, I love your vids and I NEED to know how to bind off using only one side of the knifty knitter straight loom. Everything I'm seeing is for binding off using both sides of the loom (in otherwords I used only 12 pegs on one side for a scarf) PLEASE HELP! Thank you so very much and Merry Christmas!!!

  • ALL your videos are awesome you've helped me so much with all these projects. Love the placemat!!

  • Instead of lifting the yarn over the one you are pulling through...it looks just like you can do a chain stitch and it would be the same thing>

  • This is really nice. I got a loom kit of 4 yesterday and already created a scarf for my mother. She loves it. That was my very first ever knit project. I love watching your videos. Thanks for posting them. Definitely helping me on my new found craft.

  • Fabulous place mat.

  • Michael:

I cannot find a tutorial to make dishcloths on a rectangular loom. I have the purple loom but it seems too loose for dishcloths. Do you have any suggestions? I'm currently using the circular looms but, although they come out fine, they're not as square as I would like.

    Thanks!

    Tess

  • Wow this helped out a lot. My Grandma and I couldn't figure it out and now we know thks to you=]]

  • Great Idea by not cutting the string and laying it in the middle of the project . I'm working on a scarf now and I'm going to try that. Thanks

  • Boeiend..Boeiend...Ik hang aan je lippen...GA door !!

  • inspiring !

  • thanks for sharing your knowledge to the world..... Saludos from México (hi, from MX) =)

  • can you just cast off on the right side of the loom as to not have to worry about the additional yarn left over and weaving it through?

  • I think it's completely up to you... I figure whatever you think to make it work.. I say why not... Weaving it prevents the Straggler (end peice) from dangling out.

  • Thank you, now I know atleast that I haven't technically been doing it wrong ; )

  • Ta Mick,

I am visual impaired so I have the tendancy to type in large fonts or change the font sizing on the screen. I LOVE your videos and I find them so inspiring. I have now learnt to crochet since discovering your videos so thanks. You have made the end of my day a pleasant one, as I did not want my message to be interpreted into something offence.

    Love Shazzy DD.

  • Thanks very much and I hope you have a good rest this evening. MKL

  • i was not yelling!! That is not the tone of the message.

  • That is brilliant! Thank you-I really appreciate your tutorials. I think your ideas and techniques and kindness in teaching others is fabulous. Many kind returns to you.

  • Hi Mikey ,

great video. I BOUGHT A SET OF LOOMS FROM EBAY FROM A SELLER IN THE USA. I HAVE STRUGGLED TO USE THEM- HOWEVER FOUND YOUR VIDEO AND I HAVE USED THE HONEY COMB STICH TO MAKE A BABY BLANKET.

MY NINE YEAR OLD HAS MADE A PINK SCARF. WE WOULD HAVE FINISHED BY NOW BUT WE HAVE LOSTED THE LOOM HOOK AND WE HAVE TO USE A CROCHET NEEDLE INSTEAD.

I DON'T CROCHET OTHER THAN TIDYING WORK BUT YOU HAVE WON ME OVER WITH YOUR VIDEOS ON THE SUBJECT.

  • Please stop yelling.
